A Texas elementary school art teacher who was placed on administrative leave after showing her students a picture of her fiancée has reached a $100,000 settlement after a judge ruled that her suspension was unconstitutional.
"The agreements the district and I made in this settlement are a positive first step in making things better for gay employees, gay students and gay families in Mansfield," the teacher, Stacy Bailey, told NBC Dallas-Fort Worth.
...
As part of the settlement, the school district will provide mandatory training on LGBTQ issues to its educators and staffers, including human resources employees and counselors. It will also compel the district's board of trustees to vote on whether to add sexual orientation protections to its policies.

That’s old style.
Many of these girls today live their lives on Farcebook, Tweater, and InstaSpam and share it with the kids.
The question is would laz hit it?
I don't approve of the life style but she had every right to do what she did. What's the difference if her fiancee had been a heterosexual male?
The administration that suspended her did more for the alphabet community than if they would have just ignored it. Now they're also out $100,000.00......stupid
I have a brother and his wife that live in Mansfield. Yes it is conservative. LGBTQ cases are not good. The case may be appealed yet in a Texas court.
That’s when I delete the episode. I’ve watched a handful of Let’s Make a Deal episodes recently and they always do the same.
I wouldnt want my elementary school-aged kids seeing pictures of her dikette.

At issue for a parent was a slide show and lecture about two artists who were gay. The lesson drew an eew from a fourth-grade student. The notes also indicate that Bailey teaches this aspect of the artists background in fourth grade, but not third grade. It is included in the lesson to show how art is influenced by life. The administrative notes also state that Bailey tried to explain to the student that saying eew is not respectful.
In September, parents who complained were asked to answer a series of questions related to Bailey and her exchanges with the children about being gay. One parent stated: She said the artists are gay. A student said eew. The teacher said dont say that is eew. I am gay and that hurts my feelings if you say eew, the parent said, adding: I am afraid the girls love the teacher so much that someday they will want to do that. Kids do what the teachers do because they respect them.

Guilty and guilty.
Bailey has in the past also shown herself to be a rabble rouser community activist, pushing the conservative school district to adopt a non-discrimination policy including queers and trannies. She did MUCH more than just show a picture.
Bailey is also heavily tattooed.
No, but they can adopt, or get the “turkey baster treatment”, and indoctrinate the baby/child.
Everyday there are more out of state plates in the parking lots. Bernie thinks he can win TX.
