When former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley abruptly submitted her resignation in October 2018, she stayed mum about her next move, only assuring that she would not challenge President Trump in 2020 primaries for the Republican nomination. So, what has Haley been doing since she left her post?
As a strong believer in term limits, Haley explains her decision to leave the administration in her memoir, "With All Due Respect: Defending America with Grit and Grace. She wrote 2019 was her first year in 14 years as a private citizen, free to sleep in and get to read books again.
"Hopefully you'll be coming back at some point, maybe in another capacity," President Trump told Haley when she announced she would be leaving. "You can have your pick." So popular was Haley within the party that she had to quell rumors that she might replace Vice President Mike Pence on the 2020 ticket.

Not eligible, she was born an Indian national to two Indian national parents.
As the one who kicked off the scrubbing of our history, she can stay gone.
She is a disgrace
She is a Boeing board member, making bucks for nothing.
Most Americans are too busy trying to make ends meet to sleep in. Only politicians see private sector work as a place to laze about.
Was she born an American?
As is, was she born in the states?
(yes)
I have two favourites for the VP, they are Lighthizer (my original favorite) then strongly also, Pompeo.
But might consider her. Might.
She is a native-born American.
Also I suggest Michelle Malkin. I have long liked her quite a bit, though I only recently realized, she is native-born.
Strong #3.
:)
Don't make me barf!

Ah, yes. That grand old Free Republic debate issue. Im backing you on this one. If you are an American citizen, you were either born in the United States or you were naturalized through a legal process.
I cant see any other category.
Not disputing your words, just asking.
How would Senator Cruz fit in your synopsis of “American Citizen”? Not born here, not naturalized. Not eligible?
And for the record, as there will be ‘talk’, what is your verdict toward Don Jr. should he eventually seek is Father’s role? Granted, a bit of difference here as he was born in NYC, product of a foreign born mother.
Both of my grandfathers were born in the United States to noncitizen parents.
Their 1917 draft cards both have three categories for citizen status:
1) Natural born
2) Naturalized
3) Alien
In wartime, in a much more conservative, nationallstic, and Constitutional America, both of them were registered as natural born citizens.
President Trump's mother was foreign born, but she became a citizen before he was born. Ivana Trump was not a citizen when her children were born.
That's the difference with foreign born. Just having a foreign born mother is not enough to be a disqualifier.

To be honest the phrase was used as it was unknown whether or not she, being foreign, was naturalized before or after his birth. Dang it! due to the fact she married an American could qualify her given the whimsy of the court. My grandfather was naturalized, and because he was married, my grandmother was as well. The courts have certainly made a foul mess of things. Or our FF were inept in their words written to guide us (even wise men make mistakes)
She’s keeping a low profile, if she’s as clever as she’s been described. Her opportunity for a higher position will come, if it ever does, when the dust settles.
So if two foreign diplomats have a child born in the USA, the kid is an American?
Next time you're in India, try slandering Ghandi and see how they treat you Nikki.
Every banned flag, every destroyed statue, every whiny snowflake...ALL of that came from her.
Don’t care where she is, as long as she stays gone.
I agree. She is responsible and can stay gone.
Yes, Nikki, go away and put yourself to sleep.
But neither can Donald Trump or Ronald Reagan, for that matter.
