Mitt Romney, who was the only Republican senator to break party lines and vote in favor of Donald Trump being impeached at his Senate trial earlier this month, is now attacking the president again. This time, the Utah senator is claiming that the Trump administration is totally unprepared for a potential coronavirus outbreak.
As Trump tried to tamp concerns over the coronavirus in New Delhi, saying that the situation was under control and is a problem thats going to go away, Romney was confronting officials in Washington D.C. at a private briefing on the virus. As a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, Romney claims to not think Trump is doing enough to stop coronavirus from spreading within the United States.
Im very disappointed in the degree to which weve prepared for a pandemic, both in terms of protective equipment and in terms of medical devices that would help people once they are infected, Romney said, according to The Hill.
Wasn’t me that I know. Must be Free Republic’s Guardian Angel
Casinos?
I don’t care what someone’s religious belief might be - I’m sure there are traditional Mormons who would perform far better than Mitt has done.
Mitt just seems to be a jerk who is interested in his own position and power, willing to play whatever momentary game he believes he must to attain and maintain those.
I regret that I, like many others here, once voted for him.
So helpful. Is he on the other team? Or is he on the American team? So silly for these folks to act as if this supposed grave threat to all of mankind is a political game. Do they really believe the world is in danger from this Chinese lab released virus? (not really sure who made it originally. the way these unAmerican fingerpointers act, some great white savior is going to save the day with a cure for this lab made bug. it’s going to be amazing. and incredible. and make us all bow down to them.) Meanwhile, the flu is still going strong. When is Mitt gonna cure the flu and cancer? Why hasn’t he done so yet? If only he had done so years ago, he might’ve been president. bummer.
How dare you insult all the scum of this earth.
You should be glad Romney lost. (he lost on purpose)
If he had somehow won, amnesty would have been passed and signed and we would already be North Mexico.
We still have a fighting chance to keep our country, but not if we keep electing Bush League Republican Senators hell bent on amnesty like Flimsey Grahamnesty.
1. Obama did all he could to take this country down in his 8 years.
2. The Chinese persons in this country are buying up the masks and shopping them back home. If we need them we wont have them.
3. The Dem-turds have wasted Trumps time with the impeachment crap when they could have been making the country better and increasing their chances of turning over seats back to Dem-turds
4. Dem-turds havebrought in too many 3rd world scum and took resources away from areas it could have been better spent.
IF YOU ARE A DEM-TURD YOU ARE A COMMUNIST!!!
NUFF SAID!
Well I did not vote for him.....I smelled a forked tongue, Carpet bagger...liar. Long before..he ran for POTUS.
So scumbag mittens is also a back-stabbing leaker?
Is there no one who can rid me of this meddlesome priest?
F yuou
The voters of South Carolina will continue to re-elect Lindsey Graham well into the 2500s. It is time to face reality. the voters of South Carolina love Graham.
Wow, Trump and Rush with one snarky stone.
Không có gì
So..Winsey..will be alive then?
Well, the slot machines are amazingly dirty. I mean, they are virus magnets. I keep trying to remind myself not to touch my face or rub my eyes whenever I'm in one of those places. There's a reason they don't allow blue lighting in there! (I just made that part up but really!) Last few times there were all these sickly Chinese, it made me wonder... and they all smoked like chimneys. maybe they are enemy vectors that came across the border. Casinos are the perfect place to spread that stuff. Just having fun, but maybe not.
At the time, I felt I didn’t have much choice; and I didn’t believe in ‘not voting’.
(Given the same situation again today, I might wonder: ‘What if they held an election, and nobody came?’)
When I was a little kid and first learning about politics, I always envisioned these little ‘political men’ walking around on the ground, looking very busy and small - while I was high up on the branch of a tall tree, looking down on them and totally removed from the whole affair.
I’ve never known how or why I developed that perspective at such a young age; but have been trying to get back to it all of my adult life.
