Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) is offering a first glimpse at her forthcoming memoir, which she promises will include details of her "disappointments, failures, successes, sacrifices [and] surprises."
The book's publisher, Dey Street Books, called the upcoming release an "inspiring coming of age story of a refugee."
Omar, the first Somali American member of Congress, came to the U.S. as a refugee at the age of 12.
The 38-year-old lawmaker is also one of the first two Muslim women to serve in Congress, along with Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.).
"This is What America Looks Like" is poised to be released on May 26.

1) She writes the book (or it’s ghost written)
2) It becomes a #1 NYT best seller (with a lot of help from the corrupt media)
3) Leftist America-hating Hollywood makes a movie out of it.
4) The movie wins an Oscar.
5) She gets a permanent gig as a commentator (or her own show) on MSNBC,
