FBI's 'Case Agent 1' Stephen Somma 'primarily responsible' for FISA failures
Washington Examiner ^ | February 24, 2020 | Daniel Chaitin & Jerry Dunleavy

The Justice Department Inspector watchdog referred FBI agent Stephen Somma for disciplinary review after an investigation into alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses.

Somma, a counterintelligence investigator in the FBI's New York field office, was identified only as "Case Agent 1" in Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report, released in December. Sources told the New York Times that Somma is that official. The FBI did not comment for the report.

Somma was “primarily responsible for some of the most significant errors and omissions" during the process of obtaining FISA warrants to wiretap Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in 2016 and 2017, according to Horowitz. Horowitz confirmed the FBI relied heavily upon British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s salacious and unverified dossier when pursuing the secret surveillance.

I've said it repeatedly, some no name agent is thrown to the wolves, will be paid hidden millions, and will take a fall, keep his mouth shut, for a coupla years at some country club prison and then off to Bermuda.

The big guys/gals will skate and the bag pipe player will retire.

We are so screwed.

Patsy. Prepare for suicide.

Exactly. I don't imagine this guy was making the Big Decisions. Who told him to do what he did?

The FISC court told the FBI to review any FISA request that Clinesmith touched. I think the same should be done for Somma.

Lindsey Graham sent a letter and didn’t refer to any of these conspirators by name.

If you won’t name these people (just like the Whistleblower) do you really believe there will be a real Investigation that digs deep?

If you won’t name them, it’s more of the sweeping under the Rug.

Stefan Halper
Moffa
Somma
Kevin Clinesmith.

And on and on....

The DOJ needs to put a very strongly worded letter in his file, telling him to never, never do this again, and make him go to a full day of sensitivity training with only two donut breaks and limiting lunch to 45 minutes. Then they should elevate his pay grade, and let him retire at the higher level with full disability because he has been subjected to so much public scrutiny which led to his PTSD with self-reported and vague symptoms. But on the bright side, at least he will be gone.

.
Stefan Halper tried to get a position in the Trump Admin.

Scam IG Horowitz just glossed right over it.

Horowitz started an entirely new and made up Policy of not using names - and Lindsey Graham has been following that just made up Policy.

Accordingly, look for Graham to stay precisely with only what Scam IG Horowitz has said, rather than an independent Investigation not bound to IG Horowitz’s conclusions.

They have all ran from Stefan Halper and Moffa.

Bring criminal charges, and get him before Judge Amy Berman. She’ll whip him with a wet noodle... and then pin a medal on his chest.

Another one that gets disciplinary actions and not charged. Is that what Comey stated way back when that no one will be charged? I hope I am wrong and Durham nails them to the wall!

There were other case agents involved as well. When the Crossfire Hurricane team reorganized after the beginning of 2017 the new case agent just took Somma’s word that everything was good. If I remember correctly, that was case agent 3.

We should all know Names.

This new, made-up, Scam to avoid names only protects the Conspirators in the Get Trump Op.

The Senate is blindly following along when there is no policy whatsoever to support the new, made-up, Deep State Scam.

Stefan Halper - they will run so fast from him, you watch.

I’d like to know names also, but I see why they hide the names of current employees. If people left the FBI and DOJ their names were mentioned.

So a low level schlub gets tagged for "errors and omissions"?

The Deep State rolls on inside the DOJ and the FBI.

What about FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith who changed the email that provided asset info on Carter Page? How many more of these miscreants are out there, besides the regulars Comey, Strzok, Page, etc., and are getting off with just disciplinary referrals? He’ll probably just end up with a note in his personnel folder, which he can request to be removed in six months time. I’m sure he’s already been dealt with, but we’ll never know the result. What a freakin’ joke.

Is that clip from the “Scorpion” tv show? If so, I still miss that program.
