The Justice Department Inspector watchdog referred FBI agent Stephen Somma for disciplinary review after an investigation into alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses.
Somma, a counterintelligence investigator in the FBI's New York field office, was identified only as "Case Agent 1" in Inspector General Michael Horowitz's report, released in December. Sources told the New York Times that Somma is that official. The FBI did not comment for the report.
Somma was primarily responsible for some of the most significant errors and omissions" during the process of obtaining FISA warrants to wiretap Trump campaign adviser Carter Page in 2016 and 2017, according to Horowitz. Horowitz confirmed the FBI relied heavily upon British ex-spy Christopher Steeles salacious and unverified dossier when pursuing the secret surveillance.

The FBIAS is rotten to the core.
Look at who the past Directors have been and you know what kind of people they have been hiring and promoting.
“failures”? Like getting caught.
Disciplinary action.
Instead of criminal charges.
“””””’Somma was primarily responsible for some of the most significant errors and omissions” “”””””
As an uneducated deplorable I always call “errors and omissions””......CRIMINAL ACTS.
Exactly!
That was a tough call. LOL
Line agents are all cool eh Sean?
Ditto. Strzok, Page, and McCabe were putting pressure on Stu Evans at DOJ-NSD when he was questioning the Steele dossier.
These FISA “abuses” were neither “failures” or “errors.”
That was a disturbing read. If its not the agents its the congressmen that pushed the issue. It was a political hit from the get go. It was not the Russians it was the Obama Administration and the criminals he had put in place.
Is it possible to fire every last one of them and start from the ground up?
Wray slapped his hand with a wet noodle and told him not to do it again. The scales of justice are now balanced.
Disciplinary action.
~~~
Not even. Disciplinary “review”.
Meanwhile, back in the private sector, real people who sh1t the bed get fired and probably prosecuted
Case Agent 1 did not just up and decide to commit FISA abuse by his lonesome since the preponderance of known evidence all points to a conspiracy to get Donald Trump that began even before he won the general election. Throwing an underling under the bus to obscure the larger crime is not going to be acceptable. That appears to be the direction this is headed, and thus needs to be discredited and corrected. I dont care who this leads to, even or especially if its a Republican although clearly the intelligence establishment is largely aligned with Democrats. Such conspirators need to be removed with prejudice and punished to the fullest extent possible, otherwise well be right back here again in the not too distant future.
More training and checklists for agents..
He should claim to be a whistleblower.
Patsy. Prepare for suicide.
Go back to Hoover!
Two slaps on the wrists....
I agree.
