Clint Eastwood is breaking his silence over the 2020 presidential hopeful he believes is best fit for office.
The 89-year-old discussed the #MeToo movement, career highlights and dished on his political views in a revealing interview with the Wall Street Journal, and it turns out Mike Bloomberg has the actor's support.
"The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there," Eastwood told the outlet.

Never mind my previous post I totally misunderstood the entire story!! Yes Clint IS backing Bloomy!!!
95% of these stories are Fake News.
Genteel? You mean like the Bushes and the old line GOP? Yeah, be nice to democrats and they will be nice to you; like that ever worked. Trump is popular because he does punch back and when they are down he continues to kick them so they don’t get up. We’ve hoped for a president who would kick back and now we have him. “I can’t spare this man, he fights” —AL. We can’t spare him either. Genteel my ass.

I think you may be right.
I read the article, and it seems apparent that Clint actually has a somewhat LIMITED idea of what has happened in American politics over the past forty or so years.
He's an old great guy who really has spent his time/life deeply in the detailed creation of fine films.
He cannot be expected to understand exactly why this President needs to do some of the things that he does.
I give Clint a pass on this unwise remark on his part, but he needs to quit talking about subjects that may have passed him by.
(We know damn well he has NO IDEA of the details of the NEVER ENDING EVIL CRAP that DJT has had to absorb from the Deep State over the past four years.)
****
Maybe the great Victor Davis Hanson could sit down with Clint for a few hours and discuss Donald Trump and American politics.
That meeting would serve the nation well.

.......sometimes the beans don't need any butter.
;-)
But it is entirely okay with Clint that Trump is called a traitor, a Russian asset, Hitler, a racist, etc., and Trump is supposed to sit back and enjoy it.

Right on.

lol
I thought it was bloomie who called women "horse faced lesbians", not President Trump. Maybe Clint needs meds.
But because I dont appreciate some of his tweets, is no reason not to avidly continue to support and vote for him for his restoration of the Republic.

yes
Eastwood came out, saying the Bloomberg plug was a false posting, and that he’s “100% for Trump, and then some!”
I did a little more digging and what I found was video of a portion of the interview. It doesn’t access the Trump remarks. In the golfing world all the buzz was that Eastwood was distracted, confused etc. Another link from 2 months ago said Eastwood has never sent an email so I believe you are quite correct, Eastwood does not have the information to make an informed judgement and he has unfocused, unguarded moments one of which was included on the interview.

I think the reputation springs from that convention speech in 2012. Still, it's hard to believe a guy with libertarian leanings would support a would-be Napoleon like Bloomberg. Libertarians are supposed to be about freedom. Bloomberg is all about control. People who think Trump is a "dictator" will really get to see a dictator if Mini Mike gets in.
Clint might as well have supported Obama in 2012.
Yep. At 89 hes lost his cabbage.
I never let anyone in Hollywood tell me what to think.
Fake. Clint is all in for Trump.
You should be surprised. This report if BS.
He is just “Tarred, he is in some ways tarred” of the bickering and fighting with fellows in the swamp of Holly-wood.
Ditter!!!
Its so good to see you!
Nice to see you. Ive been over on FB.
