You’ve got to be quite a sophist to find endorsement of sodomy in the Bible. But people don’t believe such arguments because they think them to be the truth ... they believe them in order to validate their sins and assuage their guilt.
I’m not religious, and even I know that his statement is hogwash.

He wasn’t born in a country that used to be in the Old Roman Empire.
I'm a multi-tasker myself, I rank immigration and abortion to be the most urgent and most important issues, respectively. His being homosexual is not an issue; his supporting the gay agenda is.
His attacks on traditional Christian morality is highly offensive, but he differs not at all from any of the left on that.
Also, he is very smug and self-righteous, which would tick me off even if I agreed with him.
