Defense attorneys for Roger Stone demanded a new trial Friday, one day after President Trump suggested that the forewoman in his longtime political confidants case had significant bias. The legal motion could affect Stones Feb. 20 sentencing date on charges of witness tampering and lying to Congress.
The basis for the request was filed under seal Friday, but its existence was disclosed in a court order by U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson, who gave U.S. prosecutors until Feb. 18 to respond....
The Supreme Court standard for juror qualification is that they need not be totally ignorant of the facts and issues involved. . . . It is sufficient if the juror can lay aside his impression or opinion and render a verdict based on the evidence presented in court.

"Hart even posted specifically about the Stone case before she was selected to sit on the jury, as she retweeted an argument mocking those who considered Stone's dramatic arrest in a predawn raid by a federal tactical team to be excessive force. She also suggested President Trump and his supporters are racist and praised the investigation conducted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, which ultimately led to Stone's prosecution."

The motion will be denied.
They can only think in "group think", not individually or subjectively.
And bagpipes Bill Barr is letting it happen.
...and if he does its over. Trump is the Last President.
A 7 year old knows when you are the only one who has to follow the rules you quit playing.
And bagpipes Bill Barr is letting it happen.
Yep. And he is solely responsible for McCabe walking, too.
And Comey and Brenna and.....

Oh bull$$$$.
No one is the last president over the Roger Stone trial.
Stone is likely to get a new trial, at least on appeal, or an eventual pardon.
The legal system doesn’t work like a political discussion group. It’s not easy to get a new trial.
The judge is a biased hack, and that’s been true in countless courtrooms, certainly from the beginning of the Republic.
The juror lied to get on the jury. Also happens every day in every state.
and Freeper wackos going on and on and on
Jackson will not allow a new trial and the president cannot compel it. She sentenced Paul Manafort to life in prison for being associated with Trump and she will order the same for Stone. She belongs completely to Obama and the democrats.
btt
The motion will be denied.

Theres an excellent chance of that. Judge Amy Berman Jackson is a nasty piece of work, IMHO.
why Trump doesnt pardon all these people and be done with it is beyond me....hes always crying about how the whole thing was a hoax...
Good move, with delaying tactics, Stone should be able to stay out of jail, till after the election, at which time Trump will pardon all of the Mueller defendants.
I notice how that pos paper points to trump being the instigator of the retrial request. He was not. He pointed out what others had already noted.
I think when one gets a pardon they have to admit their guilt. Not sure about that but I recall hearing it.
The Judge is just about the worst of the Obongo hack judges. So how does Stone just happen to end up in this womans court with a rat activist as Jury foreman? Unfortunately now that we know Barrr is in the same club as Roberts to even ask such questions is futile.
And it will be rejected on appeal. The fix is in.
No, they do not have to admit guilt to get a pardon. Often a pardon is granted because the accused was actually innocent (Not Marc Rich). But there is some authority which says a pardon must be accepted to be effective.
That came up in the context of Trump should just pardon Hillary for her various crimes “for the good of the country”, but then the witch would tell him to shove it and not “accept” it.
When I try to think of a reason for such teamwork across government agencies, I can only come up with evil.
Thanks for the info. Rich even were he pardoned would not avoid the tax evasion.
