Oh man, they’ve been on that cruise ship (AFTER the cruise ended) for nearly 14 days, now they’ll be stuck in ANOTHER 14 day quarantine again? I feel for these people, but abundance of caution makes the most sense.

Least they’re going to Travis and not Riverside. (though since I’m near Sacramento, I’d sure prefer they go to Riverside...)

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.

So far the false positive rate is 100%.

At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.

Finally!!! Our citizens should have been repatriated days ago.

And shame on the Japanese officials for not taking passengers off that ship, especially after it became clear that the virus was being spread between passengers several days ago. Passengers should have been removed and better isolated from each other while under strict quarantine onshore in Japan. If any US citizen dies from this negligence, Japan is responsible.

I think the WORST part of this disease in America right now is that we have POS, some even here, that are hoping it kills many, many Americans in cities they don’t like.

To you who think that way, don’t say you’re Christian, don’t wave the Flag and be prepared to weep when your own die because things have a way of coming back to you.
