Retired Marine Gen. John Kelly said at an event at Drew University on Wednesday that Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman did the right thing when he raised concerns about President Donald Trump's call to the Ukrainian president in late July, according to a report in The Atlantic.

You take the oath when you receive your commission, you are literally, a commissioned officer of the United States. When you retire, you no longer hold any commission, you have certain retirement benefits and, by courtesy, your title. You are no longer bound by the oath. No different than a President or a Senator. Not part of the government any more.
Their POV is that we're a country comprised of cattle, managed to benefit a small minority. With control of media/finance, it's easy to manipulate and direct the great masses of people.
Goebbels' favorite author laid it all out - he happened to head up the US WWI propaganda campaign:
If we understand the mechanisms and motives of the group mind, it is now possible to control and regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing it In almost every act of our daily lives, whether in the sphere of politics or business, in our social conduct or our ethical thinking, we are dominated by the relatively small number of persons who understand the mental processes and social patterns of the masses. It is they who pull the wires which control the public mind.
This is all posturing & self advertising! They’re telling us they are available for roles of defense advisors for Rat candidates or post-Trump Rat & GOP candidates.
Revolt of the Obama Generals
Thx, will look in it. Seems to be a misunderstood thing...
I remember female ‘owners’ in the 70s. ALL were either given 50% by hubby or hubby died.
After construction companies made Blacks ‘owner/pres’ to get govt jobs enough hell was raised to make ‘others’ eligible.
8a Corps to get Gov Contracts.

It still says nothing good about Vindman’s countermand to the Ukrainians, and even less about Vindman’s leaking classified information.
Kelly was, is and will remain disloyal to this president and to a free America. He clearly believes that he, not Trump, should have the power of the presidency.
Not all officers are politicians but 95% of the officers who make it to senior ranks ARE politicians who checked the right blocks and had sponsors who brought them up. Some were leaders when they were younger, some not, but all found the political route.
The 95% of the regular officer corps are doing the work of leading troops and many are passionate about being at the mission level. Most of these do not care to play the political games and know the difference between a Popsicle and a dick. Many are former enlisted who obtained a commission and many developed a love of mission accomplishment and leading men. True leaders, not political leaders. They are the ones who generally retire in the ranks of Major through possibly Colonel.
This is a ‘revolt’ of retired generals. At least they are retired and not on active duty.
Call all these losers back to active duty...then, bust them to private and discharge them dishonorably. What seditious degenerates.
“But I guess rules are optional when you are more politician then General.”
With one exception - who left as a one-star - every general I met was 90% politician and less than 10% military officer!
This started under Carter not Bubba. I started my BCT @ Ft Jackson in August '77. We were told that we were the last non-COED cycle. We had no females, the cycles behind US were not so lucky. It may have started elsewhere sooner, I don't know. Bubba may have had a hand in spreading it to the other Services?
CNN is ATT pissing on its conservative subscribers every damn day
>> This is DNCNN.
In reality, its ATT
I know that. I was subject to that, but I am no longer. The period of time has varied over the years. There are other restrictions, but most concern government jobs and are short term, for one year or less. Even when you are subject to recall, the limitations are few. One guy that I know became the Minister of Defense for a Baltic country, although he needed to get DoD permission to do it. If you retain a security clearance, the standard caveats also apply.
DONALD! You magnificent bastard!!
Yeah, I know. GREAT quote. Thanks, semantic. I had not seen that one before.
