Retired Marine Gen. John Kelly said at an event at Drew University on Wednesday that Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman did the right thing when he raised concerns about President Donald Trump's call to the Ukrainian president in late July, according to a report in The Atlantic.

I talked to some relatives of currently serving military personnel when Obama was president. Now there was real opposition.

The modern illustration of that was the war in Iraq. It went badly or not-so-goodly until the political Clinton commanders werreplaced by the new officers coming up through the the ranks in combat. Then the “surge” happened which, in itself, was not decisive. It came as the politicals were phased out and the combatants had taken charge.

Our military is full of LGBT and any female Rangers and Spec OPS are a damn joke. Show me a female who can lead an Infantry platoon in the Marines or Army? Clinton’s COED BCT started the trashing of our military. Next, they lowered physical standards/ physical tests for sex. How do we take teens who grew up playing video games these days vs the ones who were physically active in the 50-60’s and make real soldiers/marines out of these punks today?
The army brass was almost equally resentful of his going outside his branch of service.
Of course, it was Mitchell who planned the April 1942 raid on Tokyo using army bombers to fly off navy carriers. The raid accomplished little damage but it did spook the Japanese into attacking Midway before they were prepared to do so with disastrous results which effectively lost the war for them, though it would take another three years and five months.
Less than 30% of the U.S. military resources were devoted to the War in the Pacific.
Anyone who is a career military officer should never be trusted to uphold the ideals of a free nation.
He was, of course, deceased by that time and the raid was led by Lt. Col. James Doolittle. My bad.
