The Trump administration responded to criticisms from Attorney General William Barr on Thursday after Barr told ABC News that the president was making it impossible to do his job by constantly tweeting about the Department of Justice.
CBS News reporter Catherine Herridge reported that White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham made the following statement in response to Barrs criticisms: The President wasnt bothered by the comments..he has the right, just like any American citizen, to publicly offer his opinions. #POTUS uses social media very effectively to fight for the American people (and) has full faith and confidence in AG Barr.

The remarks from the White House came in response to an interview that Barr gave to ABC News on Thursday where he said, I think its time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases.
Barr said, Public statements and tweets made about the department, about our people in the department, our men and women, about cases pending in the department, and about judges before whom we have cases, make it impossible for me to do my job and to assure the courts and the prosecutors in the department that were doing our work with integrity.

Kudos to those Freepers on the earlier threads who suggested that the whole ABC media appearance was staged for political purposes — mainly to take the heat off Barr and undermine any allegations that he’s operating as President Trump’s hired legal gun.
If the Democrats were smart, they’d figure out why Barr is critical of the tweets and focus on Trump’s tweets as they obviously give tips of how they are about to be prosecuted.
Considering the Democrats never seem to learn and reject any objective look at Trump’s work, I don’t think Barr has to be worried about what POTUS might foreshadow in his tweets.
As Barr said, the problem is Trump tweeting about active cases at the DOJ.
The AG is a cabinet member who reports to the President, but unlike the rest of them he is the one cabinet member who oversees a department that routinely operates under the daily oversight of another branch of the U.S. government (the Judiciary). So there are formalities that should be respected simply to avoid undermining the work of that particular department among all of them.
Its not just the people, its the institutional structure of the DOJ and police state agencies that attracts and cultivates sociopaths and thugs.
No transparency, no accountability breeds corruption. Lets stop praising and holding up this insane belief that a so called independent DOJ, nothing more than a rogue department, promotes justice.
In fact, any government agency or department with so much power over the people should have the most scrutiny and tightest control over their actions.
Just how long do you think it has been that Barr could act?
Yup, he declined to prosecute Comey when the Inspector General sent the referral to him. Now I am hearing this garbage about Barr & Trump playing 4 D chess, just like Trump played 4 D chess with Sessions for the longest time. Some people never learn.
Also, the “Barr” DOJ has declined to prosecuted the referred McCabe for about 16 months.
Why is Trump tweeting about the DOJ a mortal sin, but the Rats threatening to impeach the AG if he goes against their desires perfectly fine?
Anything is a crime if Trump does it. Nothing is a crime if Trump and his supporters are the target of the assault.
O, my gosh. I’m out

Be out all you want, but little being disclosed prematurely or inappropriately is neither proof of action or inaction.
He declined to prosecute a case where hed have to prove Comey was NOT lying about some things in a document full of lies. Thats a very hard case.
It might be done for Comey, but I dont get that impression.
When was it Barr was confirmed?
When was the executive branch ostensibly out from under the Mueller investigation?
Im not remembering either as 16 months.
McCabe was referred for prosecution by Horowitz in April of 2018 (!) for leaking. Barr was confirmed exactly 1 year ago almost to the day.
Stop the theatrics, slow walking of supposed investigations, do-nothing drama and accomplish something about the illegal FISA warrants, Hillary's mess e.t.c.
Trump's tweeting is the least of your problems.
Im starting to think our great POTUS knew exactly what he was doing when he tweeted at 2:00 am about Roger Stone (knowing that the demented Rats would absolutely lose their minds.)
He lured the House Rat idiots into squawking about impeachment again, AND the news about the corrupt, lying jury foreman came out. Even Eddie Munster is outraged by the deceptiveness of the corrupt juror, and Eddie HATES all things Trump.
This isxblown out of proportion
Go watch yhe video
Right - and the Mueller report came out in May 2019.
Its just starting to get to the time to begin seeing the fruits of the investigations - between now and the end of April.
One of the most basic aspects of Reagans success was his strategic use of television media to bypass the networks.
Trump is doing the same with twitter.
Smokescreen. Trump and Barr looking too chummy. This is meant to “look” like tension to throw off the media critics and feign a nonexistent rift between Trump and Barr.
Creating a “separation” for appearances sake.
I can’t believe that there is anyone on FR anymore who doesn’t see this a Trump and Barr tag teaming the press, the leftists and a very corrupt justice system. It’s scripted kabuki folks.
Barr aint done jack shit about the coup. To his credit, though, he never said he would.
