In an exclusive interview, Attorney General Bill Barr told ABC News on Thursday that President Donald Trump "has never asked me to do anything in a criminal case” but should stop tweeting about the Justice Department because his tweets “make it impossible for me to do my job.”
Barr’s comments are a rare break with a president who the attorney general has aligned himself with and fiercely defended. But it also puts Barr in line with many of Trump’s supporters on Capitol Hill who say they support the president but wish he’d cut back on his tweets.
“I think it’s time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases,” Barr told ABC News Chief Justice Correspondent Pierre Thomas.
When asked if he was prepared for the consequences of criticizing the president – his boss – Barr said “of course” because his job is to run the Justice Department and make decisions on “what I think is the right thing to do.”
“I’m not going to be bullied or influenced by anybody ... whether it’s Congress, a newspaper editorial board, or the president,” Barr said.

he was put is solitary and didn’t get early medical treatment.
And now we get lots of new Roger Stone info, prosecutorial
missconduct, tainted juror, and of course made up crimes
that were linked to the fake Mueller SC when Mueller knew
on day 2 that Trump was innocent, yet they went after Roger Stone anyway. Making Stone broke and his deaf wife
suffer.
Barr should get the job done and its over half a year and
no results in even prosecuting one of these people we know
are lawbreakers for over 3 years. I am not patient for
justice to reach the DOJ.
Barr’s “Justice” Dept (and yes, the President is correct to put it in quotes) is infested with Obama and Clinton rogues who are traitors, criminals, schemers, and villains.
No doubt those scare quotes around the word Justice infuriated the swampers at Main Justice. POTUS deserves a medal for that. Ha ha.

I can’t help thinking that a lot of this drama is orchetrated by the Trollmeister himself.
He always seems to come out of it better than he went into it, and his opposition always comes out of it worse than they went into it.
And he never seems to wear out. If it were me, and the drama was not orchestrated by me, I’d be a basket case.

Look what just happened in the Roger Stone case. Stone was handed a mother lode of evidence about the jury forewoman that should get a mistrial declared under any objective standards. And the whole story has been obscured by the coverage of President Trump's Twitter posts about the original sentencing fiasco by the DOJ.
Hyperbole, yes.
That said, Barr did go on the Anti-American Broadcasting Company and he did recite the common Deep State line, that Trump Tweets too much.

Barr is making Sessions look like Darth Vader.
Publicly criticizing the boss (especially in using the word “bully”) would put most employees on thin ice.
