This is another crap 'Sense (sic) of the Senate resolution. What is gagging is the hypocrisy of the GOP shyster voting against Trump akin to elementary school kids throwing rocks at the school bus, I note our fairly worthless Bush league senator Cassidy voted for this. He is better than Mary Landrieu, but that says little for him.

Senate votes to protect their paymasters in Iran from the United States Armed Forces.

Resolution is just that, does not equal legislation needed to be signed - and in any case Trump would VETO it.

“Senate votes to protect their paymasters in Iran from the United States Armed Forces.”
No, they voted to ensure that if we decide to go to war with Iran, Congress oks it, just like in War of 1812, Mexican War, WWI and WWII. Abiding by the Constitution process didn’t keep us out of those wars or “protect the enemy powers from the US Armed Forces”.
By the way, do you want a war with Iran?

I thought that resolutions are non-binding (i.e., no power of law).

The move for POTUS to make as a counter is to pull all troops out of Iraq.

Iran wants a war with us. Should we look weak to them?

Did FDR look weak by asking Congress to declare war after Pearl Harbor? He was following the Constitution, you know.

“Iran wants a war with us”
Who told you that? If they want to kill themselves, they have plenty of guns and could commit suicide on their own. There are a lot of neocon propagandists who want a war with Iran, just like they wanted our Iraq war. The Persians aren’t stupid people, and have been around without committing hari-kari for thousands of years. The claim that they suddenly want a war that would lead to their annihilition requires some backup - some quotes, some citations - not just a bald assertion.
To: robowombat
The sad situation is that the dems will vote against Trump, no matter how right he is or how much it hurts the country. Republicans do NOT have a loyal opposition.

Steely Tom does have a point. This resolution only singles out Iran.

Congress did the same thing to Obama when he killed a bunch of terrorist including an American citizen....oh wait I’m hallucinating again.

just like in War of 1812, Mexican War, WWI and WWII
Oh, for those days when our congressman from both parties loved our country and understood the evil world.

what a giant waste of time and energy.
