No, they voted to ensure that if we decide to go to war with Iran, Congress oks it, just like in War of 1812, Mexican War, WWI and WWII. Abiding by the Constitution process didn’t keep us out of those wars or “protect the enemy powers from the US Armed Forces”.
By the way, do you want a war with Iran?
