If Trump loses, the number one cause will be his inability to control himself on Twitter. Twitter could be his Waterloo.
If it makes Trump feel good and relieves SOME pressure then I am all for it. Tweet Donald, tweet away!!!!
“If Trump loses, the number one cause will be his inability to control himself on Twitter. Twitter could be his Waterloo.”
There’s a lot wrong with that statement, but I will merely disagree.
Twitter is the only thing that gives him a fighting chance.
WHY couldn’t John Kelly keep his mouth shut?
You mean his unwillingness to only say the things that you think are acceptable? I’d say that’s a pretty good reason to lose. Freedom
Twitter is Trump’s strength.
The president does indeed love to gossip and stir the pot.
He very quickly becomes personal. This is a risk anybody takes when they decide to work for or with him. Not everybody would knowingly choose to do so.
Meanwhile, if John Kelly does not want to be slammed on Twitter by the president, the best thing to do would be to stop making negative public remarks about the president.
We all know that he’s going to compulsively Clap Back.
This quality usually works for the benefit of the GOP, but not always.
I can’t believe anyone would say that. Twitter has been Trump's WMD against the democrat controlled mainstream media.
I couldn’t agree with you more. What in the hell is wrong with this guy! Can’t Javanka have a good heart-to-heart with him. Love POTUS DJT, but seriously, he sounds like a damn kid bully, not an adult. Sure, he’s our kid bully, but that doesn’t make it acceptable. I know a number of us who totally support the President and what he’s doing for the country, but his childish mouth is going to damage his candidacy. (Flame away.)
If Trump loses, the number one cause will be his inability to control himself on Twitter. Twitter could be his Waterloo.
I totally disagree. You are advocating for the sad, limp-wristed, lose like a gentleman, thoroughly discredited, and effeminate GOPe tactics.
Now tell me how bad tariffs are.
So he should just take the shots, which by the way were uninvited and totally unnecessary on the part of Kelly.
Trump said at the time he announced his running that he was a counter puncher. What that means is if you take a shot at him you can expect one back.
And he did not disparage Kelly’s wife. He merely repeated what she said.
It's Peak Trump!
Geez, without Twitter the stooge media would completely control the narrative. Thank God Trump has Twitter available and knows how to use it. My worst fear is Trump getting deplatformed from Twitter. Weve heard for 3 1/2 years that Twitter would be his downfall. When did he ever suffer anything significant from his tweets? Trump is a master at responding to attacks and driving the narrative with Social Media, it is his best weapon.
One of the dumber statements ever posted.
That's sarcasm by the way.
BS. Twitter is Trumps unfiltered bullhorn that blasts right past the MSM fudd filter.
Mitt is that you?
If Trump loses it will be because he listened to advice like yours.
Trump’s mastery of Twitter is a neutron bomb to the utterly corrupt and transparently fake mainstream media, that are fully an imbedded fifth column AND totalitarian propaganda wing of the criminal treasonous DNC org.
The never on offense Republicans are finally learning to fight back and have a leader by example in DJT.
Trump’s Twitter bombs are a bit like the swings, a future Hall of Famer takes at pitches- hits and misses. One out of three at bats with an on base hit, over a career, will get them in the HOF.
I’d put Trump’s Twitter batting average at a percentage much higher than a HOF-er.
Massive voter fraud and widespread ballot harvesting in purple states worry me far more than a whiffed Twitter remark.
Trump’s Twitter remarks take flak because they are over the target.
I agree, although there ought to be lots of focus on the DNC's antics as well, if he loses. Plenty of folks on here are trying to pretend that you're saying that he shouldn't use Twitter, but they're entirely missing the point. It isn't the use of Twitter, it is HOW he uses it that is an issue. Personal insults and name-calling are not very wise, even in the schoolyard. It should be beneath the office. It's OUR job to rip the Dems to shreds, and personally, especially in our subTweets to him. It's sad that he doesn't trust us to do our part.
Yes, I get the "we can't be the nice guys anymore" notion... but there are smarter ways to not be a nice guy. There are better ways to insult the Left. There are many less-obnoxious ways to expose them for their lies and hypocrisy and crimes. It has worked for Trump for decades in the face of a hostile NYC media, and it continues to work adequately for him now... but if he would tweak that one bit of his presence, I think he could bring over even more of the swing voters.
We only get to have Trump for another 1-5 years. While the GOP needs to learn what to do from him, they also need to learn what not to do. This is one of the few items in that secondary list.
I don’t agree, fighting back against every pig that attacks him works for him.
Who do you think this hurts him with?
“I really like this economy but he’s mean to people on twitter, I better vote socialist.”
None of those sorts of pathetic losers are going to vote for him regardless.
