Trump Tweets concerning John Kelly
Twitter ^ | Feb 13, 2020 | President Trump

Posted on 02/13/2020 9:03:33 AM PST by McGruff

Donald J. Trump @realDonaldTrump

When I terminated John Kelly, which I couldn’t do fast enough, he knew full well that he was way over his head. Being Chief of Staff just wasn’t for him. He came in with a bang, went out with a whimper, but like so many X’s, he misses the action & just can’t keep his mouth shut,.

...which he actually has a military and legal obligation to do. His incredible wife, Karen, who I have a lot of respect for, once pulled me aside & said strongly that “John respects you greatly. When we are no longer here, he will only speak well of you.” Wrong! 11:04 AM · Feb 13, 2020

“If Trump loses, the number one cause will be his inability to control himself on Twitter. Twitter could be his Waterloo.”

So true. I’m wondering if he wants to lose.

He’s been the same on Twitter all along. Where has it damaged him?

It is possible to strike the right balance and use it only for the former and avoid the latter.

I would suggest that the President send his tweets to you for approval, then all would be right with the world. S/ON you pompous, self centered, egomaniac.

I got your right balance...

If Trump loses, the number one cause will be his inability to control himself on Twitter.

If Trump loses it will be because he listened to advice like yours.

Trump’s mastery of Twitter is a neutron bomb to the utterly corrupt and transparently fake mainstream media, that are fully an imbedded fifth column AND totalitarian propaganda wing of the criminal treasonous DNC org.

The never on offense Republicans are finally learning to fight back and have a leader by example in DJT.

Trump’s Twitter bombs are a bit like the swings, a future Hall of Famer takes at pitches- hits and misses. One out of three at bats with an on base hit, over a career, will get them in the HOF.

I’d put Trump’s Twitter batting average at a percentage much higher than a HOF-er.

Massive voter fraud and widespread ballot harvesting in purple states worry me far more than a whiffed Twitter remark.

Trump’s Twitter remarks take flak because they are over the target.

I agree, although there ought to be lots of focus on the DNC's antics as well, if he loses. Plenty of folks on here are trying to pretend that you're saying that he shouldn't use Twitter, but they're entirely missing the point. It isn't the use of Twitter, it is HOW he uses it that is an issue. Personal insults and name-calling are not very wise, even in the schoolyard. It should be beneath the office. It's OUR job to rip the Dems to shreds, and personally, especially in our subTweets to him. It's sad that he doesn't trust us to do our part.

Yes, I get the "we can't be the nice guys anymore" notion... but there are smarter ways to not be a nice guy. There are better ways to insult the Left. There are many less-obnoxious ways to expose them for their lies and hypocrisy and crimes. It has worked for Trump for decades in the face of a hostile NYC media, and it continues to work adequately for him now... but if he would tweak that one bit of his presence, I think he could bring over even more of the swing voters.

We only get to have Trump for another 1-5 years. While the GOP needs to learn what to do from him, they also need to learn what not to do. This is one of the few items in that secondary list.

I don’t agree, fighting back against every pig that attacks him works for him.

Who do you think this hurts him with?

“I really like this economy but he’s mean to people on twitter, I better vote socialist.”

None of those sorts of pathetic losers are going to vote for him regardless.

You represent 30%. Trump loses with 30%. 70% want the tweets to stop.
If Trump doesn’t care what the voters want, he will lose, just like Hillary. Whether you like it or not, the voters will have the final say.
Don’t be blind. Trump is struggling with the best economy in the history of the country. Its because of the stupid tweets!

Who do you think this hurts him with?

About 50% of the country. Including a possible majority of suburban women. The polls cannot be trusted, but this is a known area of weakness.

That would be nice, but not needed :=)

All he has to do is to think before hitting the send button.:-)

I will never forget when he did that in front of an international audience, because the President called one of our most threatening enemies “Rocket Man.” Kelly should have been fired in the hallway after the speech, and have to take the train home.

Kelly deserved what he got. The good General should have kept the pie hole closed.
