When I terminated John Kelly, which I couldn’t do fast enough, he knew full well that he was way over his head. Being Chief of Staff just wasn’t for him. He came in with a bang, went out with a whimper, but like so many X’s, he misses the action & just can’t keep his mouth shut,.

If any of us had our job threatened from the beginning. I’d have blown up long before. Kelly is a punk. He has never been a platoon leader or company CO in combat. Pukes like Kelly do kiss a— work in DC. I recall the punk LTC’s in the Army who tried to lead battalions in Korea after 0 combat in Vietnam.
Punks who were never in combat with the real men. Yes, it is the EM and NCO’s who do the real fighting. An LT or an 1LT plus a Captain leads. I had two 1LT’s KIA, plus over 50 Montagnards. Kelly is a ticket puncher. He worked for a DOD contractor. Spectrum Group.
President Trump’s use of Twitter on the Roger Stone case smoked out the swamp rats and ended up exposing a biased, dishonest juror. Trump in part tweeted his way to the presidency and will keep tweeting to win a second term.
It’s true suburban wymen were giants cows in 2018. I won’t say I agree with everything he’s ever tweeted but overall I think it’s a big positive, direct communication. You can’t let trash like Kelly make attacks without answering them. Same thing with that famous “Gold Star” Muslim father who thought his dead kid was a license to slander with impunity, and oh did the GOPE cuckservative losers agree with him.
Trump is a winner cause he’s a fighter. “Because you’d be in jail” was when he won the election. Turning out his voters is the most important factor.
As for Bloomberg, if he is the nominee we’ll remind women that he’s a misogynist (and a midget, not the strong daddy that Obama was to them, never mind he’s actually average height) who told a pregnant employee to have an abortion.
We’ll remind people with money that all democrats are tax-hiking socialists including him.
We’ll remind Blacks he’s a racist who did stop and frisk and blamed them for the mortgage crisis.
And we’ll remind Berner progressives that’s he’s actually a Wall Street Republican who’s way too conservative, and stole it from Bernie with his corrupt corporate profits so they might as well stay home or vote Green.
He’s clearly the best candidate for the Wine and RINO crowd but the tradeoff is his weakness with the rat base could be fatal. He’s devoting most of his efforts to desperately courting the Black vote, mostly by bribing people for endorsements.
He’s trailing, or at best tied, with every Democrat. He should be in landslide territory with the state of the economy, and his long list of accomplishments.
I know many people who would be Trump supporters if not for the tweets. Especially women. They bristle at the thought of seeing the tweets continue for 4 years. Some of them may come around, if Trump would cut down just 10% of his nastiest tweets.
To be clear, you’ve responded to the post to which I was responding in Post #13.

Meh, I don’t see it that way. I guess it’s hard to tell someone how to react when attacked by the the government of the most powerful country in the world. I for one (as well as well as most Trump supporters I know) give him a very long leash

I think the tweets are deliberately “unpresidential” for several reasons:
1) He always includes something non-PC, something that the media will disapprove of. This ensures the tweet will get coverage - because they think they can use it to hurt him! Thus, his tweets don’t get buried or suppressed - his real message gets through.
2) He adds a “snarky”, “childish” element - because when people see that, they may consider it “unpresidential”, but nobody thinks it’s scripted - nobody doubts that he’s expressing his true feelings. Again, his real message gets out, and it is taken as “tactless but sincere”.
3) He tweets A LOT. The result being that no single tweet or quote can be used against him - he’s inoculated himself from having past statements used against him. He’s said a million things about a million subjects. So what? By tweeting seemingly “with abandon”, he has pushed the envelope - expanded his range of motion - regarding what a President is expected to say.
4) The Left is badly out of touch with the American people in flyover county - President Trump takes advantage of that and knows that if he speaks to us n a way that offends them - the Left won’t even hear it. They even call it a ‘dog whistle’ but it’s not - it’s just that the Left is tone deaf. President Trump takes advantage of this divide and purposely claims political landscape using a branding technique.
For example, he has made “MAGA”, “putting America First”, “protecting our borders”, “lowering taxes” - he has made these brands dirty words to the Left. Think of that! He has tricked them into acting like it’s a BAD thing to mage America Great, put America First, protect our bordered, lower taxes!?
President Trump is an absolute genius at media and political manipulation - yet the fake news media and political adversaries STILL have no clue that they are being manipulated.
Quite the campaign here today against Trump’s tweeting.
Reminds me of Mental Health Day here a couple years ago when the Hussein Heads couldn’t stop posting about 25A and “concern” for Trump’s mental health.
