The U.S. Senate voted Wednesday to advance a War Powers resolution which would limit President Donald Trump’s ability to use military action against Iran without approval from Congress.
The vote was bipartisan, 51-45, with eight Republicans voting with Democrats. The eight Republicans in favor of the resolution included Utah Sen. Mike Lee, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul, Maine Sen. Susan Collins, Tennessee Sen. Lamar Alexander, Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy, Kansas Sen. Jerry Moran, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, and Indiana Sen. Todd Young.

Trump tried to withdraw from Syria but it was vetoed by the Deep State.
Just like he did last year........April 2019.
Trump was never going to go to war with Iran, Iran was trying to go to war with us.

Trump needs to do anything to Iran there are plenty of weaponized allies over there that can take care of it!! Israel, Saudis they are both equipped to take care of Iran, what really bothers me about this IS showing Iran that our own legislators are willing to try to cut off the legs of our POTUS it is SHAMEFUL!!! Can Trump VETO this??? Trump CAN’T go to Congress about ANYTHING that would be classified possibly taking out a terrorist!!!

Note that Lee from Utah voted for this, but Romney voted against it.

The WPA was instituted in order to NOT have a rolling, partisan crap fight when we are in imminent danger. The President, any President needs to be able to mobilize our forces at a moments notice if he believes it necessary based on intelligence he gets.
Romney must be down with bat flu or something not to have shown up for that.
I doubt this WPA law restricts Trump when faced with imminent danger.
