So much for being judged "by the content of one's character."
The University of Montana has very few black students. Which is understandable, because the state of Montana has very few black people.
This demographic profile created some issues, however, when the school sponsored a Martin Luther King Jr. Day essay contest and four white students were announced as the winners. Students and other observers (most of them white themselves) got very upset.
"Jesus Christ this is shameful and embarrassing, and I say that as a pasty ass white girl," wrote Nika Martignoni on a Facebook post announcing the contest winners. "I'm cringing for you because clearly none of you who ran this contest were raised with the good grace to do the cringing yourselves. You should be ashamed of yourselves."

Did the black kids even TRY to write essays?
“pasty ass white girl” should mind her business instead of trying to create victims.
Did the just assume those kids’ races?
What if they identify as black?
There were no black entrants.
Mom and Dad are proud of little Nika.
What is shameful is this woman blaspheming the name of Jesus to make her mediocre comment. It shows a lack of education and manners.
Wasn’t there a way to ban whites because of the color of their skin? Like the new college seating areas with segregation and the all black dorms and clubs starting to be trendy?
This equality for all stuff is obviously white racism at its worst.
True story: When my sister in law used to compete for violin openings in orchestras (she played in two of them) she said all over the country biased judges were weeded out by having a curtain between so the applicants were not seen. Most males won more competitions for jobs than females. So women started wearing heavy soled men’s dress shoes to make the sound of a man on that side of the curtain coming in.
So much for being judged “by the content of one’s character.”
Exactly.
Then why are they all whining?! How stupid. Did they expect someone to write essays for them?
Only people judged to be of the correct race can write about Kings dream of not being judged on the basis of race.
Damned if you do...damned if you don't. Solution: Drop the friggin' contest.
Easily solved. The judges should have gone all in on affirmative action and conducted a search for a black student and said: "Hi there. We need a black winner for our essay contest. You'll do."
Inequality on display. Black kids simply can’t write.
Rather than learn to write, they learn to make a basket from the three point line
Basketball Jones.
Probably not.
It’s so enlightening for blacks to play Hamilton but it is horrible for whites to win an essay contest on King.
Say It Loud...
I’m a Cracker and I’m proud...
Should they be judged by the color of their skin now?!
Racist leftists and white guilt pukes make me sick.
How pasty white is someone with the last name Martignoni? It wasnt so long ago that Eye-tal-yuns were not considered white. But of course being white (low hillbilly white) means food trumps everything so they made it in to the club. Along with the Irish, Jews from everywhere, Welsh, Iberians, even some Persians. I also meeting white black people.
