Darwin Day Is Fizzling

February 12, 2020 | David F. Coppedge

Certain advocacy sites are busy, but Darwin Day seems to be falling off the radar of major news outlets and journals.

Darwin Day is February 12, the birthday of Charles Darwin. The International Darwin Day website lists a smattering of events around the world, but no results were found for the phrase ‘Darwin Day’ in the usual science news outlets on February 11th. The journals we routinely follow, too, showed no search results. Perhaps the morning of February 12th will show some activity, but it seems surprisingly quiet on Darwin Day Eve.

"Watch this excellent video about Darwin’s connection to the Holocaust, which features an appearance of one of our contributing authors, Dr Jerry Bergman. He explains clearly the connection between Darwinism and Hitler’s passion to exterminate inferior races. Bergman shares a few ironies along the way, such as the fact that Jews were so similar to Germans in appearance, they had to be identified with patches. Also, Hitler was part Jewish, and so was the young man whose photo was used to identify the ideal Aryan specimen. Whoops."

I hope I don’t do something terminally stupid to myself today, and inadvertently win a Darwin Award.

Take heart Democrats. Abraham Lincoln's birthday was also on Feb. 12th and it also seems to be falling off the radar of major news outlets and journals. It isn't noted on my iPhone calendar but something called "Holi" on Mar. 10 made the cut.

It’s not Darwin that is fizzling, it is the globalists that are trying desperately to create a new state religion with them as God.

Currently, there are so many globalist candidates striving for the Darwin Award that it’s nearly impossible to pick which of them is going to take out enough followers to really make the award stand out.

Remember, a commonly overlooked point, Darwin was a devout Christian who propounded a theory about the development and adaptation of species not the origin of life. These globalists have hijacked history and Darwin, just like they have hijacked MLK, JFK, and many more.

Darwin’s entire theory is clever but unscientific and asinine. The guy deserves obscurity, except as an object lesson when teaching people critical thinking. Yeah, I know, it’s not taught in schools anymore anyway. Just believe in SOCIALISM, GLOBAL WARNING and ST. DARWIN, and utopia will cover the earth!

Devout Christian? I have never heard this, but whatever he believed about God, his theory is in shambles.

I would like to think that we have evolved beyond Darwin.

That’s OK. Talk Like a Pirate Day, 4/20, and May the Force are skyrocketing in popularity.

I knew that George H. W. Bush’s re-election campaign was in trouble when he formally announced his candidacy on Darwin’s birthday.

Well, it was February 12th. Lincoln and Darwin just happened to be born on the same day (same year).

We can't do anything about our birthdays. I knew a professor once (a Democrat) who was unhappy over having the same birthday as Richard Nixon.

If they want to have a biologist day they should have Gregor Mendel day.

The problem is not with Darwin Day, but that people have done so many stupid things. How do you pick from any Democrat? Anything that Joe Biden has said? Or the original “lying dog faced pony soldier”, AOC?

Darwin said that if the basic “stuff” of life turned out to be intricate rather than simple, his whole theory would collapse. Indeed, Darwin *was* right!
