Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), who voted to convict President Trump for abuse of power last week, claimed on Sunday that he “agonized” over the responsibility that came with his decision and said he had “hoped beyond hope” he would not find President Trump guilty.
Speaking to KSL’s Sunday Edition during the weekend, Romney, who asserted last week that the president “committed an act so extreme and egregious that it rises to the level of a high crime and misdemeanor,” said he “agonized over the responsibility that ultimately would come [his] way” and proclaimed that he “hoped beyond hope” he would not find Trump guilty.

All Mitt did, was confirm to everyone who voted for Trump, exactly WHY THEY VOTED FOR TRUMP....
All the establishment GOP crap they had tolerated over the decades, and why they hated it... Romney lived up to in that instant with his pathetic “vote”.
Romney is completely personified the entire GOPe, and why they are despised by the rank an file... Sorry Mitt, I would like to give you the benefit of the doubt on this, but I can’t. You voted for more witnesses one day, and then to convict the next... You said we absolutely needed to hear more before you made your decision, but then decided anyway, when you didn’t get that... There was no agonizing here, this was just your petty ego.
You can’t have it both ways...You can’t claim its imperative for more witnesses, then in the next breath vote guilty. You are a swamp creature Romney... a establishment GOP politician that has kicked the voters in the teeth one too many times...
Personally I want to thank you, you showed and confirmed to EVERY somewhat hesitant Trump voter, that they were ABSOLUTELY CORRECT in doing it. You confirmed every suspicion they ever had about the establishment GOP... and validated their actions.
America First, always... something you showed you cannot be relied on to do, no matter what you say when the camera’s are on you.
Sadly the people of UTAH will probably keep sending you back no matter what, because religious solidarity is more important than anything to a large portion of that constituency.... but we know who you are Romney... anyone who suspected but would not come to the conclusion, has been able to with a clean conscience...
