"I believe we ought to do all we can and seek to lift ourselves by our own bootstrap," King said in the clip. However, he added, "It's a cruel jest to say to a bootless man that he ought to lift himself up by his own bootstraps."

Because BOOTS have a BOOTSTRAP. Boots are difficult to pull on over your feet. When boots were originally made a BOOTSTRAP was added to make it easier to get them on.
Now, people USE the BOOTSTRAP to put on their boots, usually at the beginning of their day. They have to have on their boot to START their day.
SO... the word BOOTSTRAP was used to refer to any activity which helped you START or RESTART something.
When a COMPUTER is started or restarted it is called BOOTING or REBOOTING. That term is just short for BOOTSTRAPPING. Bootstrapping a computer refers to performing a procedure which loads the INITIAL program that enables the computer to run other programs and do it's 'work'.

Clarence Thomas is a bootstrap man. His real opposition was the RAT party which tried to destroy him. AOC needs to see ‘Created Equal’ for a real life story of what is possible in America.

But unfortunately, girls like her seldom open their eyes completely.
I’m not sure of the specific “puppet master”, but I believe that she’s in office largely because of the great #’s of illegals and other questionable voters in her district.
The story came out some time ago about how Cortez was placed into her position. Soros, or some Soros-type, was looking for a moderate Democrat in a safe district to overthrow and auditioned replacements for the seat. Her brother found out about the auditions, she went in at his urging, was selected and they threw campaign money her way. They blindsided the powerful Democrat who thought he was a shoe-in by getting voters to turn out in the primary and vote for her. She didn’t win by much, and of course, she went on to win the general.
Right. Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps means shutting up and going to work, as well as taking responsibility for yourself and your own problems — something she and her ilk are ever keen on doing.

Yes. I read that story a couple of times in the past, and it seems like it is true.
But, all I really know about the energenic girl is that she has a great body, and I wish she'd hit Hollywood where guys like me might some day see a little more of her skin.

Close. I’d say further that the earlier computers had no program at all in them when turned on. There was no rom in the computer to contain startup code. On the particular computer I used first, we’d have to put an input instruction into the console keys and have it executed. That single instruction would read in the startup code and jump to it. “bootstrapping” was an apt term for this situation.
Isn’t it something how the term “reboot” has come into use to mean restarting a previously ended tv series.
It’s not easy to pull oneself up by one’s bootstraps, but as any person with a leg injury finds out, it’s essential in walking out from some bad situations.
