Re Gen Shihbo and his “ethnic bioweapons targeting” concept.
This might be based on an old Sci-Fi book about a Red Chinese attack on the US and the resistance to it by a group of American scientists. They find a bacteria/virus that attacks a gene (or something related to it in the blood) that was particular to the Chinese.
By making this into a weapon, it defeated the Reds. By the way, as I recall, the Commies in the story were using biological weapons against prisoners in gulags that would kill them by the thousands.

This is like an international political thriller combined with a mass extinction event. Trying to create the combination of 1) making themselves solely immune from the bioweapon and 2) simultaneous immolating their society.

I seriously doubt it. *If* so, it would be one of the least effective bioweapons ever developed.
So far, less than 2% of verified cases result in death. Reported deaths involve mostly already unhealthy and old people, not what would be the preferred target of healthy military aged. Many (if not most) people have relatively mild symptoms. The high number of mild symptoms may significantly reduce the fatality rate calculation, as there may be many with mild or no symptoms of persons that are never even tested to confirm infection.
This Wuhan coronavirus is very similar to the SARS coronavirus which was much more lethal. Makes NO sense to bioengineer a less effective virus as a weapon.

That is another good point against the man made conspirac- I mean arguments. While it is more contagious than SARS, it is not particularly lethal.
And, we are told that the Chinese are lying with the ~500 deaths, but we are then told that according to some other (most reliable) Chinese insiders, that there are 100,000 or 500,000 deaths and they are the ones to believe.
In the last 3+ months, there has been 1 person who died outside China.

On a, long, tangent. There is only 1 thing that could cause trouble for Trump's reelection. A tanked economy. Now, I'm not referring to his core base. I'm talking about the "independents" and "blue dog" dems. If the hysteria causes the market to tank...and for govt's to take drastic actions due to that public hysteria, the economy could take a major hit just in time to erase the economic successes Trump has gained. This could prove to be the only legitimate challenge to his reelection.
Trump himself, just the other day said he believed China is doing fine with the situation (paraphrasing). Is he lying too? Are we now not supposed to believe Trump?

The paperback SciFi book I want is buried in a box among about 1000 other books and reports. Not a chance in hell that I can find it immediately. Just tried.
However:
*possibility it was entitled “600 Million to One” or something like that. There was a WW2 ppb about a downed pilot who landed on an island in the Pacific occupied by thousands of Japanese soldiers and how he survived with the help of native islanders. It might be a book entitled “6,000 or 60,000 to 1”.
***HOWEVER, I found a great precursor to the Red Chinese claim about a “genetic warfare weapon”.
July 1988, “Soviet Active Measures in the Era of Glasnost”, US House of Representatives, hearing Mach 8, 1988, Charles Z Wick, Director USIA (a successor testimony to the earlier “Covert Action” hearings a couple years earlier.
In this report is (subjects of Soviet disinformation/programs are organized by time/subject) a section entitled “The Ethnic Weapon” that starts out saying:
“Since at least 1980, the Soviet press has been circulating claims that the United States is conducting research on or has developed a so-called “ethnic weapon,” which would kill only non-whites.”
... “Chronology”.... page (p. 15)
- “May 26, 1980: The official Soviet communist party newspaper PRAVDA charged that a U.S. naval laboratory in W est Oakland ‘was engaged in developing bacteriological means capable of affecting certain groups of people belonging, for example, to a particular race,’ claiming that “the U.S. military department conducted trials of ‘ethnic viruses’ in California in 1977”.
What followed was pages of examples of Soviet ‘ethnic warfare’ disinformation stories mainly concerning Latin America and the Middle East, published in both legitimate and KGB-funded papers. The articles also included Israel and So. Africa as countries developing ethnic weapons for use against non-white peoples.
Hope this helps understand what the Red Chinese are doing, just resurrecting old KGB disinformation lies.
A similar thing was done to smear Steven Hatfill in the Amethrax investigation- a seed was planted in Red Flags Weekly by either Meryl Nass or a hag named Roseberg claiming he had been involved in Rhodesian use of anthrax against blacks. Nancy Pelosi and Conyers jumped on that bullcrap like chickens on a June bug.
Meryl Nass was a traveler to Cuba and in addition to her campaign against the anthrax vaccine for US troops she also pushed her belief that the US created some kind of bioengineered weapon to cause blindness among Cubans. It was probably something Castro dreamed up to cover up blindness caused by a poor diet of rice and little else under his mismanagement of the Cuban economy..

OK, but even the Chinese couldn’t be stupid enough to think that a virus specific to that demographic wouldn’t jump to the mainland. They would have to be crazy.
I don’t think it is a bioweapon either but if you were going to create a bioweapon you don’t need it to be lethal, if it’s lethal you would not get as much bang for the buck since the dead are not that big a burden. What you would aim for is a weapon that makes people very ill, too ill to work or to fight- but does not take away the hope of recovery. You just need it to incapacitate the victims to burden those who are healthy with tending to vast numbers of sick patients, and you need it to be known to be nonlethal so that stressed caregivers do not give up and drop the burden of tending to the ill, yet bad enough that victimes must be tended. That way you force the enemy to commit much of his resources, transport, food, etc., to the task- resources he cannot use against you.
I can only say that it was engineered. I cannot say as to why it was released.
Me thinks the globalists see their utopian dream maybe coming to an end, time for a global crisis where they will be there to save us all
