“The Communist Manifesto” got a shoutout during the 2020 Oscars.
Julia Reichert, the co-director of best documentary winner “American Factory,” which was produced by former President Barack Obama’s new film company, apparently quoted from Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels’ infamous book during her acceptance speech on Sunday night.
“Working people have it harder and harder these days — and we believe that things will get better when workers of the world unite,” Reichert said.
The quote was a riff on the last lines of the 1848 political document, which are frequently translated from German as “Workers of the world, unite. You have nothing to lose but your chains!”
The quote was also famously one of the official mottos of the Soviet Union before its fall. Communist regimes in the last century were responsible for the murder of more than 100 million people — including tens of millions murdered by the Soviet Union.

Not surprising. Communist moral posturing is the biggest charade of all time. The fact is, they are the most dangerous, bloodthirsty people on the face of the earth and they would gladly slaughter us by the millions. That’s who our friends in Hollywood are.

“Hollywood Goes Communist.” Hello??? This has been the case for decades. One of my biggest pet peeves is, the “accepted” revisionist history spouted by both dems and pubbies that the HUAC was unjustified.
In fact, after the Soviet Union collapsed and Soviet documents were released, the facts became clear that the accusations of Hollywood Communist sympathies, propaganda and activism in conjunction with the Soviet Union were FACT.
But, to this very day we have pubbies that spout the dems line that it never happened and that the HUAC was an Un-American abomination.
The radical left is really showing itself, but we already know who many of them were/are.

When I was in junior high school in the 1970s, I had a classmate whose father was a writer, professor and avowed communist. The kid sat during the pledge of allegiance and his family did not own a television. However, they rented a television once a year to watch the academy awards. Hollywood is, was and always will be a den of communists and perverts.
