The office of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) requested that Facebook and Twitter take down a video that edited together moments from President Donald Trump’s State of the Union address with a clip of her tearing a copy of the speech apart. Both of the social media companies denied her request, citing different reasons.
The video, posted by Trump’s official Twitter account, interspersed the clip of Pelosi ripping the papers at the end of the speech with moments of emotion and standing ovations during the speech. “Powerful American stories ripped to shreds by Nancy Pelosi,” says a text placed at the top of the video.
The speaker’s argument appears to be that some people may get a false impression that she tore the papers in half repeatedly during the speech and not just once at its conclusion.
“The latest fake video of Speaker Pelosi is deliberately designed to mislead and lie to the American people, and every day that these platforms refuse to take it down is another reminder that they care more about their shareholders’ interests than the public’s interests,” Pelosi’s Chief of Staff Drew Hammill wrote in a Feb. 7 tweet.
Trump campaign spokesman Tim Murtaugh fired back: “If Nancy Pelosi fears images of her ripping up the speech, perhaps she shouldn’t have ripped up the speech.”
Facebook said the video doesn’t violate its policies regarding deceptive content because those only pertain to content that shows people say or do something they didn’t,” CNBC reported.
Twitter’s new rules against deceptive content are not yet in place and the company said the video doesn’t violate its current rules.

This does not speak well for November for the DNC... When even Facebook is giving up on covering up for you, you know they’ve already stuck a fork in it.
They were hoping to use the MSM’s blackout of conservatives on news programs this weekend to reinforce the denial narratives. Pelosi didn’t pre-plan the SOTU ripping, Iowa’s DEM caucus results are 100% accurate, everything Trump stated at the SOTU as an accomplishment was in fact an exaggeration or outright lie, the DEM candidates are moderate politically.

Hey! Dumb ass! The next time, perhaps you should think about what you're doing before doing it. This is sorta like your famous "We-need-to-pass-the-bill-before-we-read-it" stupid statement. No matter how hard you try to spin it, you showed your true colors and the American public didn't like it one bit...and that includes some Democrats I know.

It appears that someone created an edited video repeatedly showing the act, and that’s what she’s complaining about.
I’m not sure why - everybody knows she did it. Maybe she doesn’t want people to get the idea that it was a premeditated act instead of a spontaneous, dramatic gesture of righteous disgust.
When people find they’ve dug themselves into holes, they should just stop digging - and shut up. But Pelosi isn’t very smart.
What’s the problem Nancy? Seems I remember you had NO problem with Schiff outright lying about what was said on Trumps phone conversation with Zelensky! You remember...right?
What they need to do in the House is when she is there at the speakers desk, everyone get up and rip up a sheet of paper.
