Switzerland goes to the polls on February 9 in a national referendum that could criminalize homophobiaand Coca-Cola has made the bold move of supporting calls to make the anti-gay hate speech illegal.
If the country approves the move, it will criminalize homophobia to the same extent as other forms of discrimination based on race, gender and religion.
The Coca-Cola Company in Switzerland has publicly shared support for the initiative.
Early indications are that the referendum has the majority support of Swiss voters, says The Local.
But the campaign hasnt been without controversy.
The youth wing of the Swiss Peoples Party (SVP), the national-conservative, right-wing populist party, has called for a boycott of Coca-Cola in response to their support.
Launching their Equality Manifesto, the Coca-Cola company says:
"For a Switzerland of living #together. It is no coincidence that Coca-Cola is campaigning today for a colourful and indiscriminate Switzerland. Because Coca-Cola's credo - worldwide and here in Switzerland - is unquestionably equality, diversity and tolerance.
"We are steadfastly committed to equal rights, diversity and tolerance. Discrimination and exclusion are not acceptable to us in any form."
The brand backs up their words by reminding those reading the manifesto the company has achieved a 100% continuous score on the HRC's Business Equality Index since 2006, which measures equity and equal rights in the workplace.
The campaign, features as its central image as five Coca-Cola bottles shaped out with words in five European languages that say:
"Coca-Cola is enjoyed by many in Switzerland. Regardless of age, gender, skin colour, relation or sexual orientation. The vast majority in a small country like Switzerland requires understanding and solidarity from everyone.
"We also want to do out bit by bringing people together. Thats why we take a stand for a colourful and non-discriminatory society.

Does that mean I couldn’t say that Pete Buttplug is a baby-killing, endless war whore faggot?
No, I don’t. They were sane enough to vote to ban the minaret for the Mohammadan mosques. Sanity should prevail again in this full-throated assault on God & Christianity and those that refuse to bow before homofascism.
And Wall Street now supports Pete Buttplug.
Boycott all Coca-Cola products!
They have bowed plenty to pc bullcrap in the past and present.
to wit
the law that “A man may not relieve himself while standing up after 10 PM” - misandrist feminist bullcrap pc law.
- prostitution is legal in switzerland.
- public nudity is legal in switzerland.
- euthanasia is legal in switzerland.
there’s plenty of stuff there they vote for that defies the foundations of christianity.
Hmm, Coca-Cola, a foreign company, is trying to influence the vote. Coca-Cola, Coco-Cola, Coca-Cola.
Controlling what people can say crosses a huge line.
I dunno. I identify as a Pepsi person - so far.
Telling a man he cant pee standing up after 10pm does too, in my book.
You’ve got a severe big brother state going on there already. Men are hugely 2nd class citizens there by their misandrist laws. Theylve put up with all this crap so far, it’s just not in their character to say no. You might cite the very rare exception once in a great while but that’s exactly what it is, an uncharacteristic rare exception.
I’d love to see them do it but I seriously doubt they will.
Let’s pray that they do the right thing here.
Sounds good to me. Let’s hope they start reversing some of the bad laws they’ve been living under currently as well.
And because they hate Christians

Can Hatred of Christians Lead to Support of Sexual Minorities?
March 26, 2019
By George Yancey
We generally believe that those who support LGBT rights dislike Christians because of their opposition to progressive sexual values. But a new study suggests that animosity toward Christians actually causes support for sexual minorities.
Amen to that, too.
“Tell Bill I said ‘Have a Coke and a Smile’ and shut the f... up!”
I gave up Pepsi, RC and Coke and I am the better for it.
My husband did, too; but he backslides into a Diet Pepsi, now and then.
(Constant Comment tea is a nice alternative...but I haven’t tried it iced, yet.)
I suppose we can include our own bad laws, why not, yes?
Oh, yes. Too many to count.
