President Trump and his aides wasted little time opening a campaign of retribution against those he blames for his impeachment, firing on Friday two of the most prominent witnesses in the inquiry against him barely 48 hours after the Senate acquitted the president.
Emboldened by his victory and determined to strike back, Mr. Trump fired Gordon D. Sondland, the ambassador to the European Union, within hours of the White House dismissing Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman, a decorated Iraq war veteran who was a Ukraine expert on the National Security Council. Both officials testified to a House committee about the presidents efforts to pressure Ukraine to help him against his domestic political rivals.
I was advised today that the president intends to recall me effective immediately as United States Ambassador to the European Union, Mr. Sondland said in a statement just hours after Colonel Vindmans dismissal. He expressed gratitude to Mr. Trump for having given me the opportunity to serve.

As much as I would like to see the traitors go sooner and with more prejudice you are correct. He had to wait but he has not waited long. He has to get this done sooner than later for it to be effective in more ways than one.
NSC has too many people on it now.

Rose Garden? I was thinking the Mall!
Look at the flowers”
LOL!!!!
Retribution my ass. What they did was insubordination. They should’ve been fired day 1, but no, gotta keep some people that know how this works, and look what it gets ya.
I can be televised.
It is not retribution to fire people who are proven to be untrustworthy and undeserving of the confidence of a President. It’s what any president in the same circumstances should do.
I remember that scene well. What a movie.
WRONG! 🐂💨💩
MSM gets it wrong again. Check out George Webb for the real story of why these Corruptocrats were fired.
That wasn’t Ron Glass. He wasn’t in the film as he would’ve been filming “Barney Miller” at the time.
The character in the scene, “Roach”, was played by Herb Rice, who had only 3 credited roles. A shame, since he did such an excellent job in this scene with that “1000-yard stare” after eliminating the shouting VC guy.

His son noted in the comments that he passed away back in 2013/2014.
