Five reasons why Democrat turnout will be depressed while GOP turnout will be high in November 2020
American Thinker ^ | 02/07/2020 | Thomas Lifson

Because the American electorate is rather evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats, turnout becomes the key to electoral success in November. While a lot can happen in nine months, there are five factors that I see discouraging Democrat turnout and helping the GOP.

1. The Biden family scandals

Thanks to Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler and the impeachment lynch mob, the lid has been blown off the Biden family’s practice of trading on the patriarch’s position to enrich themselves. Biden’s campaign is imploding, so he won’t be on the ballot. But the investigations of Hunter and Burisma are heating up and will cast a pall over the party. Biden was supposed to bethe unifier, a tangible link to the reign of St. Barack, whose appeal to blue collars and African-Americans was supposed to recover lost voters and motivate turnout among the most critical segment of the base.

2. The Democrat party’s bungling of the Iowa caucus count

They are supposed to be the party of science, of the smart guys, the ones who can restructure the economy and medical systems, but they can’t even count votes. Even with 100% of the vote finally reported, there are protests that errors and inconsistencies are rampant, and even friendly media outlets are reporting the doubts. Trust in the party is tanking. And it is not just Republicans that are mistrustful.

3. Genuine socialists are trying to take over the party

Among those distrusting the party apparatus are the Bernshevik faction of the Democrats. If the plutocrats somehow can’t stop them, a lot of the suburban voters the Democrats have made inroads on will stay home rather than vote for a man who wants to tax away their wealth because it is unfair they live in nice neighborhoods.

Lots of Dems like some of Bernie’s policy ideas, but most of them are afraid of him or just don’t like him. That’s why they went with Hillary and why they will never let him get the nomination no matter what kind of theatrics it takes to stop him.

Those dems who run the party want to RUN the party, not be subservient to an independent who took it over. They know many of his ideas are horrible and will never become law, and that it would be the death of the party to try. They can also look at what Trump did to the GOP and realize there’s no room for them in a Bernie-led DNC, and self-preservation will kick in.

Bernie WILL be screwed, it’s just a matter of how and when.

Normal Democrats are having none of what the Party is pushing and they jumping ship to President Trump.

Correct!

About 25% of those attending Trump rallies self-identify as registered Democrats.

4. Blacks are being aggressively courted by Trump

For decades, Dems have given blacks lip service but have done nothing to help them. Mysteriously, in return, blacks gave Dems 90%+ of their votes.

Trump is changing that. He is delivering prosperity and hope to their communities and will win a significant percentage of the minority vote in November.

I am certainly far from an analyst but I believe a lot of old school democrats will vote Trump. They can see their party for the farce it has become. If they do vote and don’t stay home, and don’t vote Trump, they will pick an independent or third party candidate.

Barring any mass scale vote harvesting by the dem machine, this could be a landslide for Trump. Hopefully he pulls a lot of Repubs in on his coat tails.

Courted with REAL policy changes, like inner city school choice. Rational Blacks will support Trump.

The turnout of Demwits voting for the reelection of Donald Trump will be high.

The Iowa caucus fiasco will be forgotten by November. Bloomberg’s buyout of the nomination may well be successful and no one will care how much he paid for it.

The other factors are likely to be valid.

We all have to fight like we are the under dog! The RATS will be throwing everything including the kitchen sink at us!

My guess is Hillary and bloomberg will have Bernie “Epsteined”. Made to look like accident or medical condition.

That is how they roll.

We all have to fight like we are the under dog! The RATS will be throwing everything including the kitchen sink at us!Absolutely!

And two reasons the democrats may take the house, senate and presidency:

Republican voters, thinking Trump has it won staying home and not bothering to vote or to get others to vote.

Democrat fraud and illegal aliens voting.

This is NOT the time to be complacent!

They’re gonna have a civil war before they settle on a nominee.

I tend to agree, and if they steal it from Bernie his supporters are likely not going to vote. Add to that, when many voted for Trump last time they didn't realize that he would deliver, and this will attract even more voters.

Agreed. It's gonna be Chicago-1968 all over again. The PV videos show that the Bernie camp is already prepping for that.

The GOP must get back control of the House. It’s as important as Trump’s re-election.

Order of precedence is actually: Presidency, Senate, then House. The Senate will continue to approve judges, including 2 to 3 SCJs, and, as you saw this week, is a reliable jury.

I really hope this is correct...I feel the democrats know they don’t have a real presidential candidate so they might put most of their efforts into holding the House and trying to take the Senate...This we have to stop...We need to regain the House to accomplish a lot of what we conservatives strive for....

The Media is already trying to stop that:

Without a serious contender for the White House, the Democrats will have lower than normal turnout while Trump will have Trump type turnout. Without the turnout, the Dems have no chance of taking back the Senate and will probably lose the House.
