Utah Sen. Mitt Romney, the only Republican to vote to convict President Trump on abuse of power during the impeachment trial this week, said he expects he'll face "unimaginable" consequences for breaking with his party.
"I don't know what theyll be, there's some I know," Romney said in an interview released by New York Times's "Daily" podcast Thursday, when asked what consequences he anticipates from the decision.
"I know they'll be consequence and I just have to recognize that and do what you think is right," Romney added.

"Not voting my conscience in order for me to have a better political and personal benefit would subject my own conscience to its censure," Romney said, on his decision to break from his party.
"So I just, I don't have a choice there. This for me is fundamental to my oath to God and fundamental to how our country must work, which is people have to be seen as honest in fulfilling the oath that they take," he said.

One can only hope.
Milt is now playing the victim card.
Let the voters decide?
What a drama queen.
Yeah like a zillion interviews in a row on all the mainstream media shows for a guy who couldn’t get the time of day from them prior...
What a self-righteous jerk.
The “consequences” are him being celebrated as a hero by the media and Democrats.
He should be stripped of every committee assignment and given the janitors closet as his new office.
Gee, ya think so, you POS?
No prob for my imagination.
Count on it.
Mitt, sometimes there are bigger things than YOUR conscience.
We’re sick your self-centered pity parties.
Go away.
Mcturd>>>>>>>>>>> Mitturd
He’s going full Kathy Griffin. Poor little innocent me, being unfairly targeted by big bad Trump and his mob of deplorables. “He broke me!”.
Just a week ago, he said he needed to hear more witnesses, presumably because there was not yet evidence to convict (otherwise, why would you need to hear more?). He didn’t get the witnesses and still voted to convict. So apparently he based his decision on testimony that was never given.
He’s a loathsome liar.
Isn’t coveting others one of the 10 Commandments Mitt? Maybe not in the Mormon fake Bible.
Maybe even make MITT the janitor.
Quit Mitt. You and your dad did enough screwing over the republic.
