Following a series of sweeping actions to expand access to voting in recent years, a California lawmaker is pushing to require voters to cast a ballot in future elections.
The proposal, introduced in the state Assembly on Tuesday, would be unprecedented and probably challenged in court should it ultimately become law. It would place the burden for determining the civil penalty and the ultimate punishment on the secretary of state, Californias chief elections officer.

Blatantly a violation of the 1st Amendment. Not voting is a form of speech. The government cannot compel speech.

Remember when we here in the US mocked dictators for receiving 100% of the “vote”? California is headed that way.

Will they be pre-marked for the Democrats?

state mandatory voting law eliminates any questions about the Cali vote harvesting resulting in 100%+ voter turn out
plus give cover to the Cali motor voter registering illegal aliens to vote.

Had voting been covered under the 1st Amendment, all people in the country would have had the right to vote or voluntarily not vote the day the Constitution was ratified.

And if you don’t vote it will count as a vote for communist/dems.
