We are going to begin with the most predictable thing that's happened, the headline you could have written with total confidence months ago: "President Trump acquitted by U.S. Senate." It just happened. Impeachment is finally over.
The result was never in doubt; the whole thing was like watching "Titanic" really. Oh pretty gripping! But no matter what happens in the opening scenes, you know the boat is going to sink in the end.
Same in Washington. No matter how fervently Democrats wished otherwise, the president was always going to remain in office, and as predicted, both impeachment articles failed in the Senate.

I fully expect at least one more impeachment inquiry under Pelosi.
Tucker Carlson is the one FNC program I make a point to watch. I don’t always agree with him, but I’m usually entertained.
Ms Pelosi - there’s a huge iceberg ahead. What do you want us to do?
FULL SPEED AHEAD - and fire up the band....
Things are getting so bad for the dems I’ve even started watching Richard Goodstein without hitting mute. Even he is struggling to find a positive spin that doesn’t sound completely stupid.
Thanks! McGraff!
“Things are getting so bad for the dems Ive even started watching Richard Goodstein without hitting mute. Even he is struggling to find a positive spin that doesnt sound completely stupid.”
I usually change the channel when Goodstein shows up. I did notice last night that Goodstein was floundering. I think even though he twists things as most Dems do, he tries to be rational. That is, he’s not for Bernie. It was delightful to see Goodstein sinking while Tucker laughed.
Of course, the same can be said about B.J. Clinton’s impeachment.
This impeachment process was never going to succeed in removing Trump from office this term. It was never intended to. The liberals/socialists have used this type of thought process for years not to punish or remove officials, but to dirty the water around them to try to make them unelectable in future elections by creating a cloud of mistrust around them.
This is right out of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals:
RULE 5: Ridicule is mans most potent weapon. There is no defense. Its irrational. Its infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions. (Pretty crude, rude and mean, huh? They want to create anger and fear.)
RULE 8: Keep the pressure on. Never let up. Keep trying new things to keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit them from the flank with something new. (Attack, attack, attack from all sides, never giving the reeling organization a chance to rest.
RULE 9: The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist. (Perception is reality. Large organizations always prepare a worst-case scenario, something that may be furthest from the activists minds. The upshot is that the organization will expend enormous time and energy, creating in its own collective mind the direst of conclusions. The possibilities can easily poison the mind and result in demoralization.)
RULE 10: If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and become a positive. Violence from the other side can win the public to your side because the public sympathizes with the underdog.
RULE 12: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster than institutions. (This is cruel, but very effective. Direct, personalized criticism and ridicule works.)
This ordeal isn’t over, it is just going to continue the tactics used by dishonest evil people that crave power and worth. They will use the tactic of this failed impeachment that in their minds was cheated from happening for everything they can apply to it.
I hope since they are still trying to “try” Trump in the media as was the intent to begin with, that the process doesn’t stop the other direction. It is definitely time to increase the investigation process for the Bidens, the Kerrys, and the Pelosis for their part in the corruption in the Ukraine by Burisma, and the Clintons in their part of their effort to utilize outside support to change the 2016 election.
And I, because of my background, hope the feds can finally capture and determine the illegal use of the internet, with intent, by Hilary concerning her release of sensitive information on a “personal server” that can’t exist. It was pilot error here and she did it without concern for the danger to our national security or a number of people she identified for charlie. She needs jail.

Good advice:
“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, ...”
Ephesians 6:10-18 ESV
It made no sense since it started... I often wonder if this impeachment has been a clever communist plot to off Joe Biden in favor of Bernie, and the rest of the democrats were so deranged about Trump that they stupidly went along with it. The biggest casualty of the impeachment fiasco is Slow Joe. Hopefully his demise will soon be followed by mittens the backstabber.
Rational people would come together for the best of the country. While irrational people never stop being irrational, so unfortunately, we all know that the rats will stop being irrational.
No. They’re already saying it won’t end and they’re still going after Trump.
I especially like Mark Steyn as a guest.
When I watch the Five it’s for Gutfield.
If the Titanic event were predictable, nobody would have been on the boat ride. Somebody needs to construct meaningful metaphors.
“The biggest casualty of the impeachment fiasco is Slow Joe.”
Not sure on that one. I feel the biggest casualty of the impeachment process was the lack of work done and the infighting with the president by the house so they wasted the taxpayer money and expectations spending so much wasted time on nothing and failing to help the people that put them there by assisting the programs to progress our country that Trump has accomplished by Trump in such a pain staking way. All for the purpose of trying to buy votes in 2020. If someone on the outside does something like this, they would be fired and rightly so.
