I think Rush is one of the most important people in US history in the fight for freedom. I am very happy he got the Presidential Medal of Freedom! He sure deserves it! Prayers are up for his recovery.

He’s been there as my lunch partner ever since I can remember . AM radio on my desk. Now that we’re retired he’s my hubby and my lunch partner. There’s days we stay home just to at least catch his opening monalogue.

I appreciate this thread. I was just wondering why we should send cards/thoughts to a NY address. Isn’t there an address closer to his home in FL? What about his store?

It was great to see him receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Melania. I expected the announcement but the awarding was a great touch. Rush deserves it for all his hard work. He is a gifted broadcaster, but it takes work to bring to his show all the things over the 30+ years that he has brought.
I was so happy to see you receive that award Rush. Well done. I heard you will be on the radio on Friday and look forward to hearing from you. I am praying for many more years of you on the air Rush. I know you have the stamina to win this fight. God heal you and bless you.
In my head, the lovely rendition of “God Bless You, Rush Limbaugh” by this opera singer in Dallas, TX has kept running through my head. I hope the show plays it often because it speaks for so many of us and is a reminder that Rush has been this way to many of us for decades.
At our Bible Study tonight, we discussed briefly the world’s reaction to the death of Kobe Bryant. Not to minimize Mr. Bryant’s death but hundreds of other people died that day, including those who were also in that helicopter, who didn’t receive wall-to-wall media tributes, although many led lives more stellar. Our Study leader said “God loved all of them and they were all equal in the eyes of our Lord. Our society is just hung up on this cult of personality.”
I say this not to make any less of Rush’s illness, but thousands are fighting cancer every day without the spotlight of the media on them. Let us all take a moment to remember them as well because God loves all of them and shows no favoritism.

I’ve missed that song. I wish Rush would play it every day, but I think we’ll have to ask him—tell him he’s playing it for US.
