Wray says FBI conduct surrounding Carter Page FISA warrant 'unacceptable' and 'cannot be repeated'

FBI Director Christopher Wray testified Wednesday that the actions taken by the bureau to obtain a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant against former Trump campaign aide Carter Page were “unacceptable” and “cannot be repeated.”

During his first congressional appearance following the release of Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s FISA review last year, Wray vowed to reform the FISA system by implementing “specific procedures and safeguards.”

“The failures highlighted in the inspector general report are unacceptable, period. And they cannot be repeated,” Wray testified before the House Judiciary Committee.

“I have already ordered more than 40 corrective actions to our FISA policies and procedures,” Wray continued, adding that he has “gone above and beyond” in outlining what “should be changed” and “can be changed” and can provide “accountability,” “rigor” and “discipline.”

“Cannot be repeated”? Really? There isn’t a single solitary reason on God’s green Earth why they can’t. Of course they can, because nobody has done anything to prevent them or punish the people who did it. Those very same people may even do it again. Why not?

Wray should have been asked to tell the Committee about where each of the perps are now, what disciplinary action was given in each case, by name. The general answer, “most are no longer in the FBI” isn’t good enough.

If we get an all-Dimbulbcrat rule again, of course it’ll happen again.
They have never had an original idea, don’t know how to read the Constitution, and have the morals of the Clintons.

“Unacceptable” used to require a beating and incarceration. Now, it’s training.

Wray and his buds dragged their feet, and tried to run out the clock, and now they say, hey many of these guys retired - they’re untouchable.

It’s all just a way to preserve the system that retains the Power in the Deep State.

They wanted it preserved - it was preserved

When they want to get Trump, the IG deemed a fake compliant Credible in 10 days!

10 days!

““I have already ordered more than 40 corrective actions to our FISA policies and procedures,””

It wasn’t a policy or procedure problem. It was elements in the CIA/FBI that attempted to overthrow the government. They literally tried a regime change operation here at home.
The only cure for this is prison. really this should have had a platoon of Marines taking FBI HQ and securing it for investigators.

“now they say, hey many of these guys retired - they’re untouchable.”

How does retirement render you untouchable for felonies? Lying on federal forms, sedition, mis and malappropriation of US government funds (Paying Halper and others for coup related services).

To me, “Unacceptable” here means people need to be tried convicted and executed.

I’m with you.

Wray said - they’re no longer under our discipline system.

You’re dealing with dishonest people.

The guy that changed the FISA multiple times is still in his position.

Crimes ignored.

Without prison time for the Felonies it will be repeated.

The fact that there are no crimes charged means they have not stopped.
