UPDATE - Canadian Flight - delayed 24 hours - weather delayed plane getting into Hanoi staging area by 4hrs and CCP wouldn’t allow the flight to proceed during daylight hrs.
New instructions: arrive no later than 5pm Feb 6 for early early morning flight on Feb 7. Those already in route contact embassy (or camp at the airport I guess? seems more logical than playing ground-hog day? )

Only about half the cases are in Wubai province (Wuhan). Every province of China has cases in the dozens. from Beijing to Yinchuan to Tibet to Mongolia. It’s in 18% of all countries and spreading

Hubei province finally had a day over day decrease, about 170. That will likely put the next data point (Feb 6th)
around 3800.

One might surmise any of a number of reasons for the “jog”, but the steady and if anything increasing climb after that is what is most concerning.
They’re not giving up.
They’re actively rooting for the virus.
The last ‘budget’ didn’t grow their budget as much as they’d hoped.
