The Senate on Wednesday voted almost entirely along party lines to acquit President Donald Trump on abuse of power.
On the first of two articles of impeachment, Republican Mitt Romney of Utah voted to convict Trump, along with all Democrats and independents.
Trump is expected to be acquitted in the vote on the second article, obstruction of Congress, in a party-line vote with all Republicans voting to acquit and all Democrats voting to convict

Isnt that special?
Sinema was standing and clapping for Trump during the state of the union and today she votes to convict.
Rats are truly despicable. /spit.
The media will be celebrating that it was bi-partisan, since Mutt voted with the Dems. Regardless of the fact they were still 15 votes short.
He’ll be the Golden Child to them for years, taking McStains place in their black hearts.
Unless he plans to run for Prez again, then he’ll be like dogsh!t on their shoes
This article is disgusting.
The whole focus of the article is Romney.
Mitt hopes we’ll forget his treachery on count #1. Mitt is mistaken.
Mittens be damned for eternity!
And there was no reason for them to vote to acquit, no upside. They all got their brownie points with the democrat base back home who elected them. Safe vote.
Hopefully the criminal investigations now begin of the House Democrats on fabricating these charges.
What we need first is a “whistleblower” report setting this out.
That is So accurate.
Have seen the dems vote both ways before, when they run for re election it gives them the option to say they voted against something when they also voted for it.
That is So accurate.
We will of taken care of Dem Senator Jones in Alabama by next year, just hope its not Sessions who replaces.
Meanwhile, the other so-called “moderate dem” senators in other red states, like in West Virginia and Montana, need to be removed as soon as possible.
AHHH...... Mitt is the consummate politician. He ferreted out a straddle that was acceptable to all his voters /s
Being a neophyte he didn’t realize that fence straddling was not acceptable in an impeachment trial
Schumer likely made it clear to Sinema, Jones and Manchin that they would receive ZERO help in their next election if they didn’t toe the line and keep it from being a bi-partisan acquittal
Romney just HAD to put one leg on either side of the fence. What a dirt bag.
I have Schumer and Gillibrand.
>:(
The weight of history and Constitution got to John Roberts. He was breaking down there in the end..which, IMO, caused Mcconnel to start to be overcome as he closed it out.
No tears from Schumer
Taking back the Senate just got easier.
As will be most of the news for the next several days
Which is exactly what Magic Underpants Boy wanted
