Romney says he had to follow 'conscience' on vote to convict Trump, expects ‘enormous consequences’

Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, told Fox News' Chris Wallace Wednesday in an exclusive interview that he "had to follow my conscience" in deciding to vote to convict President Trump on abuse of power, a decision that's likely to lead to serious blowback from Trump and others in the Republican Party.

"I believe that the act he took, an effort to corrupt an election is as destructive an attack on the oath of office and our Constitution as I can imagine," Romney said. "It is a high crime and misdemeanor within the meaning of the Constitution, and that is not a decision I take lightly. It is the last decision I want to take."

Folks, unless I’m misreading the Constitution, it takes a 2/3 majority to convict a sitting President in an impeachment trial.

There’s a bit in there about a quorum which shouldn’t apply, as all these @holes absolutely covet the face time.

Hence, unless the Dimtards can pull 67 ‘ayes’ out of the air, this is OVER, TODAY.

Go search for the recent comments from Frank Luntz.

He had predicted that by now America would have tired of all the rancor, and would be seeking unity and an end to divisiveness.

His polling indicates just the opposite has happened. People have polarized further and taken to the pitchforks. He was WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!

And if Mitt thinks he’s gonna win on a unity ticket he’ll be WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG too.
