Romney is a Senator elected by the people of his state; his independent judgment is as legitimate as that of anyone else. Even though Trump’s Ukraine behavior was thoroughly bad and stupid, Romney is wrong about impeachment. But that’s about it. He is not a traitor or a buffoon.

I believe that is the reason behind this. I have had zero respect for Romney for about four years but this is a new low. What specifically did Donald Trump do, that's what I keep trying to figure out. And if he did what they claim he did, which he didn't, why isn't Biden in even more trouble since he bragged about withholding foreign aid until the Ukraine stopped investigating his corrupt son and Burisma's corruption.
