As per Mark Steyn, Mitt will vote to remove President Trump
I wouldn’t have mentioned the stupidity of the majority of people here in being totally on board with nominating Romney except for the fact that so many people were attacking Utah for electing him ... when, unless all the people who were here in 2012 are gone, they made the same stupid mistake themselves.
It won’t happen. This is just not how Yertle operates—at leat against someone who has the means to fight back.
Yertle will ignore him, pretend he is a freshman (which he is) and otherwise go about Yertle’s business-—as you see today with cloture filed on 5-6 new judges. THIS is how Yertle gets revenge.
Yes. Utterly insane to think that you can work with “our friends across the aisle.” Every once in a while, if it’s a spending bill-—cuz they all like to spend-—you can get Enema and some R to put together a bill.
Try getting just ONE of our friends across the aisle to join you in CUTTING gubment.
My source in Utah, who knows his politics and doesn’t like Minion, said early on the other guy didn’t have a chance in hell. It would have been a total waste of Trump’s time and effort. Even now, in four years, it will be VERY tough to remove Minion. He is our new McTurd.
“We”? Seems like it’s up to Utah and they better act. He is the most spineless piece of crap. I’m sorry I voted for him against Obama. I should have stayed home.
I agree the voters in Utah won’t readily cast Mitt aside. I’m hoping the Burisma stuff gets Mitt off the board.
Well, you know my position on that. I don’t think ANY sitting US Senator will face justice for corruption.
There have been three different statements about Durham/Barr this week-—all encouraging. Still, not a single arrest. So nothing has changed in three years. Wray did say something to the extent of, “Well, they’ve all been pushed out of the FBI, so that’s that.”
Good points.
On the first part, youre right: He was NOT an unknown quality to Freepers.
I was part of a contingent of HUNDREDS, if not THOUSANDS, of Freepers who were here week-in, week-out December 2007 through 2012 detailing why pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, pro-stem cell research Mitt should NOT be trusted!
Did that mean embracing Obama in 2012? (Nope)
I included DOZENS of posts the latter half of 2012 with this POTUS reality:
1. We dont elect POTUS by majority votes.
2. Hence, most FREEPERS realize whether they live in a Red, Blue, or Purple state.
a. If you live in a red state, if 100% of Freepers voted third party, Romney would win that state, anyway.
b. If you live in a blue state, if 100% of Freepers voted third party, Romney would lose that state, anyway.
c. Hence, the ONLY Freepers who were in a TRUE dilemma in 2012 were purple-staters (worst of two TRUE evils).
So, by your logic, really ONLY purple-state FREEPERS potentially compromised. Because, in reality, their votes didnt matter, otherwise: Romney won and lost most states he would have won or lost, anywaywith or without Freeper votes.
I still have a little memory left and I’m only talking about Free Republic, a site which not only totally endorsed Romney for 2012 but did its usual stunt of demeaning and eventually kicking out people who didn’t go along. I was for Rick Perry and, whatever issues you think he had, he would have been a much better choice.

I don’t remember that FR totally endorsed Romney. In fact, I remember many who were very much against Romney.
I can post dozen of threads from 2012 to show you that you have partial incomplete memories. Dozens of us opposed Romney...and not only were we not kicked off but Jim Robinson himself was opposing Romney thru much of 2012. (Perhaps less so once Romney became the nominee; but he had vigorously opposed Romney enough in the primaries to respect those who remained opposed to him)
