I have never met Rush Limbaugh, and I am fairly certain he has no idea who I am. I havent been a lifelong fan of his, either, but I remember exactly where I was when I first heard him on the radio.
As a recovering liberal sometime in 2000 and new to the Bay Area, I was fuming about the anti-Israel press in connection with the Second Intifada. One morning after playing taxi mom, I was surfing the radio stations when I heard this loud, booming male voice say something like Folks. Let me explain to you first the history of Israel and what is going on here. I didn't know who he was but I was captivated because this radio host got it right. Was he a local San Fran guy? Seriously, after a year living there, I knew that couldnt be! Why was no one else in the press explaining it like this? NPR, which is almost required listening in the Bay Area, got it all wrong. This chap was spot on!

And every time it gets hard or painful or you think you cant fight anymore, anytime any doctor gives you bad news, I want you to have one image in your mind: The Notorious Ruth Bader Ginsberg. That old bird is a tough SOB. Shes kicked cancer in the hind quarters every time it reared its ugly facecancers like pancreatic cancer that few survive and her own battle with lung cancer.
I want Rush to see her in his minds eye. Gain strength from her battles with this wretched disease and be reminded it is because of people like her, that Rush himself must continue to exist.

Does rush have a stunt double?
RBG didn’t “BEAT” cancer. She is simply playing Hide and Seek with the Grim Reaper.
Lung cancer is a great killer though. I say this not because I don’t think he has a chance, but because he’s got a huge health crisis in store for him. I have known plenty of people who have died from lung cancer. It’s a terrible disease that moves very quickly.
Yup ... she’s “cancer free” until the next scan that shows she’s not.
Rush did not look good at all last night. Prayers for him...but it doesn’t look good. I suspect that may have had something to do with the Medal of Freedom being awarded last night rather than waiting.
Many kinds of lung cancer. All are bad, some are operable, some are treatable. I don’t know anything about Rush’s diseaes or prognosis.
“The size of the fight in the dog” is important.
RBG is long gone, that’s a robot inside her.
Rush smoked Cigarettes for years before quitting.
I have a Cigar once in a while. You don’t inhale Cigar Smoke though I’ve heard that some people do.
If you are a Cigar Smoker you can increase your chances of Oral Cancer, just like People who Chew Tobacco.
Many People who never smoked contract Lung Cancer.
A major part of beating cancer is isolating it and defeating it in early stages. Someone like RBG likely had frequent physicals and, once being diagnosed with cancer, received numerous testing throughout the years to catch cancer early.
Rush, despite taking an annual physical as part of his radio contract, apparently wasn’t getting tested regularly plus continued to smoke cigars so this snuck up on him in an advanced state.
Cancer treatment is, essentially, killing your body in hopes you can survive longer than the cancer does. If the patient is getting radiation and/or chemotherapy, that’s exactly what’s happening and the survival odds are not good. There are newer targeted treatments involving lasers where the cancer area is literally zapped and can be removed but I’m not sure this procedure is effective if it has spread throughout the body.
I would absolutely NOT compare RBG’s situation to Rush’s nor would I draw any judgements as to why one might survive and another doesn’t. Everyone is different.
God is a loving and caring Father. He may have designed RBG to suffer in hopes she would repent and change. He may not need to in Rush’s case and is simply preparing him for His eternal blessing.
I selfishly want Rush to continue for as long as possible and as healthy as possible but God’s mercy can sometimes be that he gives us a quick exit with enough time to put our affairs in order and then meet His reward.
I’m praying for Rush but I’m mentally prepared that God is sovereign and His will be done whether Rush remains with us a long time or not. Maybe there is some conservative we don’t know by name who will rise up in Rush’s absence and be who we need for that time.
I’m sure none of us Reagan lovers ever thought we would see someone as right for America as Ronnie, much less from a rather boorish and vain New York Democrat, but God has changed Trump into a near-perfect president. Even the great Rush Limbaugh, who I love dearly, will someday be replaced by a voice we will grow to love equally well.
Mere wealth won't get Rush the advanced cancer-fighting technology held in reserve by the Deep State (and accessible to RBG).
The upside is that Rush has enough wealth to give him access to same quality of care RBG gets. I pray it is enough to keep him with us for years and years to come.
Many have concluded that too.
Still mysterious how magic Johnson beat aids decades ago.
There’s a goal to reach for. Everyone needs goals when dealing with bad crap like this...
Stay with us to see RBG replaced!
I pray your fight is a huge success.
Rush is going to have to get a body double if he wants to compete with Ginsberg.
she was not at the SotU... or i missed her...
RE: she was not at the SotU... or i missed her...
Was Clarence Thomas there?
I thought it was a tradition that at least one Justice not attend... just in case...
