The knives were out from the beginning. He refused to shake her hand. She refused to use the traditional “high honor and distinct privilege” in the presidential introduction. It was never going to end pretty.
She tore it up because she couldn’t argue against it. Trump kicked Democrats in the rear and showed the USA the huge difference between the parties. Republicans = positive, Democrats = regressive.
Welp, 40 years in politics and that act will be the headliner in her obituary someday.
The Democrats have been scoring petty little points like this for decades. The difference is that Trump is willing to smack them back. No previous Republican was willing to do that. This little stunt will blow up in Nancy’s face just like they all have since Trump came down that escalator.
Nancy Pelosi defeats her own argument for tearing up the speech by the fact that she clapped several times, like when the 100-year old Tuskegee Airman was honored. So it just makes her look indecisive (in addition to looking infantile) for her to suddenly tear up the speech.
