As Americans wake up to learn the Iowa caucus yielded "inconsistencies" and no results have been released, questions emerge about the party's ability to get things done.

The week ahead of the Iowa caucus should have been a warning sign. Dissension in the ranks, questionable changes to the debate requirements, shadows of how they treated Bernie Sanders in 2016, and the gold standard poll derailed by a single phone call caused concern that the Democratic National Committee may not have all of their ducks in a row ahead of the first month of caucuses and primaries. But a confident committee told their members not to fear. After all, theyve been preparing for this for three years.
Just hours before the Iowa caucus began, DNC Chair Tom Perez posted an upbeat article about all of the wonderful changes that had been made since the last presidential election.

For three years, weve been preparing for the process that officially kicks off tonight in Iowa: the Democratic presidential primary. Today our chair, @TomPerez, reflects on the reforms weve made to make this the most transparent primary in our history: https://bit.ly/2SgkWDX

And then, the actual Iowa caucus turned into a debacle. As of early Tuesday morning, results still havent been released after a series of mishaps that resembled a Benny Hill skit. First, the app that was supposed to help precincts report their results may or may not have broken, depending on which story you hear. Then, the telephonic backup system may or may not have broken as well. There was confusion over whether to email results and what images to send to make sure the results were accurate. And as voters, candidates, and journalists alike watched the clock tick past midnight with no word from the DNC or the Iowa Democratic Party, it was clear the three years of preparations werent nearly enough to overcome the hurdles the Democrats had set for themselves.
Lest we forget, this is the same party that wants control over your healthcare. They want to regulate businesses at every level. They want to tell you how to operate every aspect of your life because they claim they know better than everyone else. Their smugness ahead of the caucus should ring every alarm bell and remind us that they really have no clue about how things work outside of their faulty predictive models.
President Trump and the Republicans must contend with the Democrats ineptitude on a daily basis, yet were still in the midst of the most successful and robust economy the nation has ever seen.
The same party that brought you Cash for Clunkers over a decade ago delivered a full-blown clunker in Iowa last night. Poor preparations, pipe dreams, and an innate inability to solve problems encapsulates the modern Democratic Party.
Socialists. ANs they want to control everything.
I’m not even sure how much of a “screw-up” this really is.
I think they want chaos so that they can better control the outcome. Much of this seems like smoke and mirrors so that delegates can eventually be distributed as the DNC wishes.
My guess is that there were MULTIPLE attempts to cheat by more than one faction in the race, and they crashed the system by overloading it with votes that were more than total number of registered Democrats............
It wasn’t a meltdown.
Bernie kicked a**. And now they are working double-overtime to keep the world from ever learning that he did.
Iowa is a mini Ukraine.
THEY ALL TRIED TO GET A PIECE OF THE PIE................
That would not surprise me, but I think it is a case of multiple cheaters in the system...............
Voter registration roles are subject to faults across the various states.
With today’s technology one would think the systems would much better.
One method to help solve this problem would be to mail out a new voter
card each two year cycle. Those that are not for that address are to be
returned to sender for further action, such as removing etc.
Wait, the same DNC that proclaimed that Trump would get made into a mudhole by Hitlery in 2016, say it ain’t so......
You MUST be joking. Do you really think excess Voter Registration cards would ever be returned not filled out by somebody?...........
Democracy in action..
and the Democratics overwhelmingly want a communist for President.
USSR! USSR! USSR!
The Iowa caucuses have been around for a really long time, and the DNC purports to be able to run the country. Can’t impeach right, can’t smear right, can’t pick a nominee right.
An app developed by clintonistas, with cheating built into it, run on 0bamaphones, operated by moron dems - what could go wrong?
“I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.”.....................
They are a new two year card for that person at that address
who is already registered to vote. It isn’t to be forwarded
but returned to the registrar if not delivered to the person.
Then the registrar can begin the process of finding/removing
the person.
This fiasco should appear as the defining example in the dictionary entry for SNAFU.

And “if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor...”
if you like your freedom, you can keep your freedom...
This is literally the first I’m seeing about this but coupled with the refusal to run the final poll, my spider senses are tingling, telling me that they “accidentally” couldn’t declare Bernie the winner.
