Prager gets it right as usual.
“What gives your life meaning?”
For the leftist, it’s government as “God”.
Small wonder they are miserable.
That’s a really good read, Prager nailed it - thanks for posting!
Very interesting observations. It is certainly true that leftism is a religion and its followers gain their sense of meaning from its satanic postulates. I use the latter phrase because every religion has to have a creed and dogma, and theirs is that the State is all. They are like Lucifer - to whom Alinsky dedicated his book - who are too arrogant to accept God, natural law, and the primacy of the moral responsibility of the individual. The state - that collective will to power - is all, leftism is all and must control all, and thats why they are shrieking with anger and hatred at the rest of us.
That’s a long circuitous way of saying that Leftism is a religion that worships The Future Utopia. Christianity, by contrast, worships the triune God, and looks forward to the second coming which presages the true future utopia.
There are many false gods.
Did God really say to not eat of the fruit in the center of the garden?
The answer is to fall in love with Jesus. He provides us with all the meaning we will ever need, and in every aspect of our being, down to even the most minute issue that may concern us. The Kingdom is closer than we think, and we begin to see it when we begin to change our perspective as to what is truly important.
Leftism is their religion and they worship their own selves. They think that they can create a utopia on earth and so they, through the big state government, should have total power. That makes sense to them since they think that they are morally good and all-wise. They don’t feel any need for God. Leftism truly i satanic.
