Did God really say to not eat of the fruit in the center of the garden?
If HE did; it is NOT recorded in Scripture, while THIS, is:
Genesis 2:16-7And the Lord God commanded the man, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.”
However; Eve knew just where the TOTKOGAE was located:
Genesis 3:2The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”
(You'll note that she ADDED "or touch it" as well.)
Now the question I have is; since she was NOT created yet when Adam received the command not to eat of it; did he relay the information directly as he got it?
Did he add the 'do not touch' or did she make that up??
Did Adam track down the location of the forbidden fruit or was Eve curious enough on her own???
