That was in the early 1990s I believe, and I have been hooked on your wit and wisdom and conservatism ever since. I am praying for you and praying for healing, Sir! God bless you!

Rush, I started listening to you in the late 80’s in Colorado Springs. I thought it was a satire show at first, you were going after Ted Kennedy mercilessly.
It was through you I found out I was one of those dreaded Conservative Republicans! For that alone I am forever grateful but there was so much more I learned from you.
After the second time I heard you I rushed back to the office and told my wife she had to listen to you before they found you and killed you! I was serious, I had never heard the dangerous things you were saying, but I believed every word you said, because I had thought those same thoughts for years and years, and didn’t know there were others out there who were of the same mind.
The Most Dangerous Man in America indeed.

Hearing Rush’s announcement today was like a kick in the gut. Prayers and best wishes to you Rush. May you live long and continue to prosper.
I first heard about Rush from my brother and started listening to him on KSEV from Tomball (Houston area) Texas in 1989. So I have been with the evolution and the topics for 31 years now.
He speaks to us all because he has small town common-sense and is rooted the best of the American tradition. This is NOT exclusionary, because ANYONE can be an American - a US citizen! We have been the melting pot and must continue in this, if the republic is to endure.
Please know how much you mean to all of us. We are with you, always and in all ways.
You have to beat this, my brother finally actually began listening to you over the last few months and admitted you're right!
Please do get well and continue to make the impact you've always done on the hearts and minds of those willing to listen.
And may the Lord God you love and serve be at you right hand to bring you through this time and back to the place you love.

Along with prayers, I offer that advice to anyone fighting cancer.
No sense feeding the cancer the sugar it needs, while you are trying to weaken it with chemo.
Give the cancerous cells nothing they need or want, and hit them with everything available.
Rush, thank you for being the man you are today. You need not be told you have converted many toward conservative ideas and policy. There have been times we’ve had personal disagreements, but only a few.

He’s fought a good fight for us over the decades. Now it’s his turn to kick-back and let us fight for him — in prayer and, if need be, with the help of caring listeners who live near him.
