WEST WARWICK, Rhode Island - The pastor of a Rhode Island church issued a flier which said that every state legislator who voted last year to preserve the right to an abortion in state law would be denied communion.
Father Richard Bucci distributed the fliers last week at Sacred Heart Church in West Warwick, the Providence Journal reported on Saturday. He also mailed them to the homes of several lawmakers.

BTTT!
Sooner than say a stupid thing like that, she ought to have had the words "I am an idiot," tattooed on her forehead.
**The fliers also said legislators wouldnt be allowed to act as witnesses to marriage, godparents or lectors at any church functions. **
Another BTTT!
Frances ain’t gonna like this.
The priest Richard Bucci and Bishop Tobin are standing up for babies in the womb. And are calling out the hypocritical behavior of people who call themselves Christians but who don’t believe in God’s Word. Good for both of them. I pray other Christian and Catholic leaders will do the same.
And God bless our president and Vice President for standing up for the unborn babies as well. Praise to our God.
This sick murder has the nerve to talk about separation of church and state? She doesn’t even understand the concept. This should happen everywhere.
The phrase "separation of church and state" is not in the Constitution. It says Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The Free Exercise of Religion Clause of the First Amendment is a prohibition on Congress, period. A priest denying communion to someone can't possibly be a violation of a prohibition on Congress (or state legislators since it applies to the states as well).
Think about how upside down this idiot has things. She is claiming that the Free Exercise of Religion Clause of the First Amendment of the Constitution requires the priest to violate his understanding of his own religion, i.e. prohibits him from exercising his religious beliefs. If anything, the Democrat calling on the priest to resign is arguably in conflict with the First Amendment than anything the priest did, since she is a lawmaker, whereas the priest is outside the government. Of course she was only exercising her free speech which is also protected.
We are in agreement. You said it much better than I could.
Does he preach against abortion while on the pulpit?
that would be the perfect place to do it, since there’d be a whole line of pols.
