He has advanced lung cancer
Prayers for your DH...and, for you! For his continued healing and successful treatment. And, for strength and wisdom for you, his journey warrior.
Nah, she is always that way with me.
Some time ago there was an opera singer that was diagnosed with Stage 4. She beat it..but don’t know what happened to her. I often wondered if it was because of the conditioning of her lungs to sing.
Going to go look and see what happened to her.
this is probably the one I am thinking about

She lived longer than expected and was able to continue singing for awhile
Thank you for your prayers. We both recently retired to Florida. A LC diagnosis is a life changing event. Ex-smokers should go for screening. My husband quit 15 years ago. Still reared its ugly head.
Damn. Pray for him. Love the big guy.
We are in shock. He has been part of our family for 30 years. In prayer for him and Catherine both. And let’s petition the President for the Freedom Medal of Honor.

So sad. All I can do is offer prayers. Rush is in for a rough time - the treatment is very hard to go through. My sister did this just a year ago and is only now coming back to full strength. God be with you Rush.
I know me too. Rush has been the pioneer, the trailblazer. Now we have Mark Levin and Sean and many many others. But Rush is still the best, the top of the pyramid. No one can replace him.
I first heard him on a business trip to Iowa around 1990. Became a fan from the first day I listened to him. This is such sad, sad news. He is so unique and I still get a kick out of listening to him. I remember my own dad, late in his life, listening to Rush on a small radio in his study.
He’s also a testament to perseverance; Rush did well as an air personality in Pittsburgh (initially), then flamed out. Took a sales job with Kansas City Royals, making less than half of what he did as a DJ. Never had any real success until he went back into radio and moved to Sacramento, replacing Morton Downey, Jr (remember him?) at KFBK. Four years later, he passed on a six-figure deal at that station, took the big gamble of going to New York and launching his national show—despite most “experts” telling him it was doomed to fail.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Indeed.
One of my brothers was staying with me back in the nineties - he was working odd hours and would usually be home at lunch time and I was fortunate enough to be able to come home for lunch sometimes too. He always had Rush on... The first couple of time Is thought who is this guy? But after several listenings I was hooked and have been ever since. Till fairly recently I was working overseas. First thing every morning I played the previous day's podcast.
That's true but it's rough to go through it. It is very debilitating.
Agreed. I think we will be getting a lot of Mark Steyn for the time being.
Horrible news. Praying for Rush and his family. It is possible to live for years with stage 4 cancer.
She's still alive so I won't be speaking ill of the dead today. My one question concerning her .... how is that crony still alive?!
It's true that the course of treatment is very rough. One has to make a quality of life decision in which one's age is a big factor. We don't know Rush's full diagnosis so who can say at this point.
