KEYSER - The Mineral County Commission has declared the county a Second Amendment Sanctuary. During the commission’s Tuesday meeting, all three of the elected officials agreed to adopt the resolution dealing with the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. In part, that section of the constitution states, “The right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” In addition, the West Virginia Constitution Article 21, has wording along the same lines that says, “A person has the right to keep and bear arms for the defense of self, family, home, and state and for lawful hunting and recreational use.” The Mineral County Commission stated in their resolution that they “have a deep commitment to the rights of law-abiding citizens of Mineral County, to keep and bear arms as constitutionally protected,” and declared the county as a “Second Amendment Sanctuary.”

I think that may be the best option. However they will have to petition congress since the constitution gives congress the power to create new states or change state borders.

I’m watching Virginia/W Virginia. If even one county successfully secedes it will spread across the country like wildfire.

Kinda silly considering WV is a Constitutional Carry state but hey, it grabbed a headline in the Inter-Mountain News.
I really like the way Sheriffs are able to have control over the sovereignty of the counties they serve.
My County, Mason County, WV has gone santuary announced probably yesterday. Saw the newspaper announcement and saw it on FB.
I would say deadly criminals will flock to your county but what with so many cites, counties and states becoming sanctuary areas ithat probably won’t happen
but it will get more dangerous now that killers rapist and other crinibals know they won’t have to worry about paying for their crimes.
I’m in California which is a sanctuary state.
In So Ca recently many criminals were let loose and have committed more crimes.
I guess the leftists think if they do all this stuff, it won’t effect them negatively.
