I think Collins wins re-election....
and I hope she does.
She’s about the best we can get from Maine.
Looking at the timing...The manuscript went to the government for review on December 30 2019. Is that why Nancy held back on passing the articles to the Senate?
Did she know it was going there? My guess....yes....and they gleaned certain passages for future use.
There was only supposed to be ONE copy.
Prolly Mittens himself. He’s a disgusting POS.
“Youll have at least five RINO senators voting against Trump.”
I doubt it. The reason for the delayed vote was to placate the rinos, the delay was the price for no new witnesses. The rats get a kiss from the rinos and Trump will have a bit of a muzzle on him for the SOTU because of the vote the following day.
Here's the section of the program where he mentions previous Impeachment Trial witnesses:
Thanks. I subscribe to his podcasts and listened to this one, but I absorb so much of this stuff from him, Levin, Rush, Hannity, Ingraham and others, that it gets hard to remember it all...
He’s got it wrong. There were depositions furnished from BEFORE the trial which were played for the Senate. There were no IN PERSON witnesses.
Yep. Being singled out is what happens when one is the biggest idiot in a group.
We need to find out and whoever did it needs to be in jail.
Well, there were depositions taken by the House managers during the Senate trial, then excerpts played back to the full Senate.

On January 25, Senator Robert Byrd moved for dismissals of both articles of impeachment for lack of merit. On the following day, Representative Bryant moved to call witnesses to the trial, a question the Senate had scrupulously avoided to that point. In both cases, the Senate voted to deliberate on the question in private session, rather than public, televised procedure. On January 27, the Senate voted on both motions in public session; the motion to dismiss failed on a nearly party line vote of 5644, while the motion to depose witnesses passed by the same margin. A day later, the Senate voted down motions to move directly to a vote on the articles of impeachment and to suppress videotaped depositions of the witnesses from public release, Senator Russ Feingold again voting with the Republicans.
Over three days, February 13, House managers took videotaped closed-door depositions from Monica Lewinsky, Clinton's friend Vernon Jordan, and White House aide Sidney Blumenthal. On February 4, however, the Senate voted 7030 that excerpting these videotapes would suffice as testimony, rather than calling live witnesses to appear at trial. The videos were played in the Senate on February 6, featuring 30 excerpts of Lewinsky discussing her affidavit in the Paula Jones case, the hiding of small gifts Clinton had given her, and his involvement in procurement of a job for Lewinsky.
I thought Mormons despise hypocrisy.
Not so sure about that. The Dems begged and pleaded with the Chief Justice to step in and allow witnesses. They tried to pass an amendment requuring him to do so.
Explain to us why my Blue State GOP senator from Colorado - Gardner voted AGAINST witnesses.
He could have bucked the party as he faces a tough re-election fight in a state dominated by Democrats.
But he stood with Cocaine Mitch and the GOP majority.
“but the uncertainty about whether to call witnesses as had been done in each of the previous 15 impeachment trials”
Previous 15 impeachment trials?? What’s this guy smoking?
Our R CongressMEN need to continually push impeachment of Pelosi, Nadler and Schiff. Never-ending motions.
The only thing MYTH could “ride in” is one of those unfortunate aircraft I’v seen on the program AIR DISASTERS.
